Daily Star - 30p tomorrow with a voucher for free Hersheys Reeseys Nutrageous bar (worth 45p-ish)

Before you vote - read ALL of the following

Buy Saturday's Daily Star for only 30p & get all the usual footy, totty & horse racing pullouts etc & a voucher redeemable in any tescos for a very nice hershey's Reeseys Nutrageous bar which usually go for about 45p! If you haven't had one of these before, give them a try- very tasty!

Right- Now I posted a similar deal last weekend and had the usual silly and childish gripes such as -
'I don't like the Daily Star - it's only useful for toilet paper',
'I don't like Mars Bars'
'This is why the country is getting fat'
'I can't get to shop to redeem the voucher'

And with these moans, some folk voted it cold which is silly because these moans don't justify it not being a good deal!
So, if this newspaper isn't for you, or you don't like chocolate bars, that's fair enough but please don't bother wasting your energy or thread space making silly comments. And above all, please don't bother voting hot or cold. Vote on what you think of the deal, as per the purpose of the HUKD website & system!
However, if you do like a good deal for a tabloid on a Saturday (half price of the Sun & Mirror) and you happen to be near a tesco & you want a free & tasty choccy bar, then this is deffo for you!

Enjoy and have a nice weekend!

who said anything about not reading the post above?!?! i prefer snickers as they taste better and are more widely available. I would never read the star as it is filth. Also trust me my reading age is several decades higher than than which the daily star is aimed at. So i don't need to resort to petty insults in my posts thank you very much. Another thing is if you don't like the paper or as in this case the paper is rubbish then it makes the deal a bad deal, hence people will vote it cold whether you tell them to or not. So in review the deal is bad i voted cold and i don't like being insulted.

:w00t: oh dear! - no offence intended!!

Firstly, in the op, I don't TELL people not to vote cold - I ask them to vote only on the basis of whether or not they think the deal is a good one or not, irrespective of their views on the newspaper.

For example,I don't like Heinz baked beans but if somebody posted a cheapy buy one get one free deal for them on here, I wouldn't vote it cold & add a comment sying I think they're horrible just because they aren't to my tastes. I would vote it according to whether the actual deal was a good one or not, in comparison to what they are usually priced & available for.

Surely this is the actual purpose of '' Hot UK Deals''. If not, the site should be re-named ''UK deals that are hot, only as long as I like/agree with the product"

Same with your tastes in choccy, - this is not a deal for a Snickers bar so you can't vote on that basis either. Although Snickers are very nice, the free bar with this paper is also very nice for some people. And whether you like this type of choccy or not, it usually costs about 40-45p so to get it free with a newspaper that is already half-price, constitutes a good deal when voting in accordance with the ethos & purpose of this site.

If, in your opinion, this paper is a 'rubbish' paper, then it doesn't necessarily make this deal a bad one - it purely means you wouldn't buy the paper which is entirely your choice. Again, in keeping with the prupose of this site, the fact that the paper is cheaper than usual AND comes with a little freebie makes this a potentially good deal and worth submitting to the site.

It's such a shame that some deals get voted hot or cold on here according to whether people like the product/service/person submitting them as opposed to whether the actual deal itself is a good one or not. We should all be more subjective in our voting.

Again, no offence intended ( and there weren't any petty insults in my comment either) and good luck in finding a cheap Snickers.:-D
