One of the brand's classic range, and while possibly the poorest of that range it is still a £40+ malt every day of the week.

An understudy for things like Oban14, Lagavulin 8 or Talisker 10 but still does not really disappoint in any key areas, sweet, smooth, clean, light & well balanced. May not be the most complex but still a decent dram and at this price it's a great deal.

Is this a reasonable substitute for Oban 14? I've got an Oban drinker on my Xmas list but the 14yo price has barely shifted this year from £70 and want to try and get something a bit more in budget (<£40)
