Make sure the free ink promotion’s part of the purchase. I bought a similar printer a few days ago from the same seller which was advertising two free months ink. When it arrived there was no sign of a card to register. I approached the seller who stated that the printer I purchased didn’t include the card to register, even though the eBay ad’s image stated it included two months free ink. I returned the printer as the main reason was to benefit from free ink.
HP Instant Ink is the greatest.
Thanks for posting. Anyone got any recommendations on what model HP to get? I need a new printer but there are so many models and options. I was happy with my Epson but it won't print text properly now despite trying a few cartridges so need to get something sorted. Want to print the occasional document and maybe some photos if the quality from these printers is any good.
I have this printer, something to be wary of - if you cancel the instant ink subscription (or even disconnect the WiFi) it will not let you print until it can check you have a valid subscription. Regardless of how much ink you have left!

Doesn't need to be in the form of a card but can be linked to the printer itself when setup.
Thanks
Thank you bought one, plus just to make awareness for others, this printer is also included on the sign up plan, look for more info in here

Please can you tell me how? Is this 2 months on top of the 3 months you get?
Just bought thanks

Get extra 2months code from eBay 🏼

Seen them. How can they be used ontop of this?
As others have mentioned above, an extra two months free printing can be had on top, making 5 months in total!

You don’t need to buy the codes off eBay, you can just use the generic code FREEINK for one extra month and get a unique code from an obliging current Instant Ink subscriber

These printers are alright, they’re a bit large - but I’ve found the Instant Ink service really really handy personally. appy to answer any questions about how the trial works (with a little workaround you can even get the “business printing” plan for free, which gives you 700 pages a month!)

Good price this, since they don’t seem to be doing these new with cashback like this time last year.

If you installed it via the 123.hp.com you should of seen a registration page once the drivers have installed. Otherwise go to hpinstantink.com and sign up from there.Add the extra code while signing up
Just do a search on eBay for instant ink codes. Don’t need to pay anyone. You get 2 months on top of your 3 months making it 5 months free. You can choose 700 pages per month plan if you are a high user especially handy if you got lot of photos and documents to print.then any of your friends or family are setting printer up you can give your unique code and can get both of you an extra month
Are inkjets as bad as they used to be? I.e. after not using it for a week you find the heads clogged.

Sorry to be thick but does this printer work if you don’t want the ink subscription and just want to buy your own cartridges?!

Yes you can buy cartridges and print if you don’t want the instant ink plan. But you can easily join for the 15 page per month free plan for life. In my experience you can choose a higher page plan at the time of signing up and then reduce to the free plan when your free months are up. When I mentioned this earlier some of us said you can’t do it. But I can give you HP customer service number please clarify it at your own risk. If they don’t allow that join the free plan for life

It does. But you should be able to take out the three-month trial (plus two extra months with code FREEINK and one from an existing subscriber), cancel it when it’s run its course and then move to buying your own cartridges if you so wish. Make sure to cancel before the first charged billing cycle starts though!

Alternatively they have a free 15 page a month plan if you’re a light user, but it’s apparently tricky to downgrade from a full trial to that.

Thanks for the tip! Can you add extra codes at any time, or do they all have to be added when you register?

Ideally you enter them in the box provided on the last page of the sign up process, but many people have said they've got in touch with HP by live chat afterwards, told them they forgot to add the promo codes, and HP customer service have applied them manually

Incorrect it was easy to move to the 15 free pages plan as I have just done it

No..im still on free 700 pages a month due to various referrals.
It's great
And you get a month roll over
I'm so tempted to buy a large format printer. I'm anyways buying A1 or maxi posters off ebay so it would save me money in the long run. Only thing is they are so big n heavy that people won't ship them, you have to collect. Some good bargains on ebay. £150-£500 range. I take it ink is expensive for these big boys?
Bad experiences with cheap HP devices, personally wont touch them again. My Canon is so much better and doesn't grumble about 3rd party inks.

In the first 5 months, are you limited to any of the plans? The Business Printing Plan is £17.99 at 700pages/month. The question is, can I be on this business plan for the first free 5 months, and then be charge the £17.99 from the 6th month+ and on wards
