Dark Souls 2 - brutal gaming if you haven't tried it yet you should.

Best price I have seen. Metacritic score in the 90's

Good game, played 50 hours of it so far, better than Dark Souls in some way although I find the way the levels are connected slightly confusing but I that's because there's so much content in there.

*Pro-tip*
Get the Ring of Life Protection as soon as you can as this ring nullifies death, but breaks, but you can repair it every time for 3000 souls, which sounds a lot but you get souls like candy in this game and trust you'd rather loose 3000 souls than scavenge for effigies, which are used to get your humanity back but are finite.

Also this game is £15 in Cex if you don't mind.

One of the best game I ever played. Should be Game Of The Year.

I want this so bad for PC but it's just about the only game on Steam to have ever kept its value xD

Not a good game, I enjoyed Dark Souls 1, thought I'd enjoy this but it took some steps backwards, and with only a few incremental tweaks to improve the still finicky controls etc

Idiot.

But it is game of the year!

What a well reasoned and in depth retort.....

I personally love this game but I can see why some folks might not like or enjoy. And I can't see the sense in just having a go at someone for not sharing your opinion.

On topic though this is a great price. Nice find OP.

Prepair to die... Lots

Worth it. It's the only game I've ever payed full price for on day one

Awesome game, but Dark Souls 1>

That's an awful tip, it takes a huge amount of fun out of the game and rather than a tense series of battles to get to your next safe haven, the game feels more like a tedious grind.

Should really go back to this at some point, I swapped games after the rat boss and never went back.

- You will die a lot in this game
- FROMSOFTWARE build Dark Souls 2 so you'd have/want to be in human form
- Every time you die they reduce your life bar by a certain amount so theoretically if you die a lot you could re-spawn with 1HP
- That's a d*ck move and not fun unless you're a masochist
- The items you need to restore back to normal are finite and very hard to come by so if you've died a lot and you've used them all you're potentially screwed for the rest of the game
- Yes it is potentially game breaking but it's a choice for people who may have given up on the game and considering the game is constantly trying to get you I'll take any advantage I can get.

You cannot go below 50% health regardless of how many times you die, this is offset even further with the ring of binding, which halves the health loss upon death. Meaning your lowest amount of health is 75% and that's with 5 deaths.
There's no reason to be human in this game aside from the small amount of health gain or online activities. You can also become human again by helping somebody with a boss.

If you choose to use the ring of life/soul protection, that's your choice. But you're not playing the game the way it was meant to be played and it will be a lot more boring because of it IMO.

Great price, thanks! Have some heat.

Amazon have done their usual price matching thing too.

Yes, nice avatar, I can see how sad you are. F3, most boring game ever made. Still collecting cola bottle caps?
