As fires fade, the world falls into ruin. Acclaimed developer

FromSoftware and Dark Souls creator and director, Hidetaka Miyazaki,

return with the highly anticipated Dark Souls 3 for Xbox One. Following

on from the critical hits Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, this is the

latest in the challenging action RPG series that has captivated players

since the first release. With its intense focus on large, challenging

bosses and atmospheric worlds, Dark Souls 3 promises to continue the

unique and distinct gameplay that has made the franchise so successful.

Discover new secrets
The

Dark Souls series is famous for its beautiful interconnected worlds and

incredible lore and story, and Dark Souls 3 is no different. With an

all-new world, Lothric, players will become immersed in a land of

mystery and darkness where the lords have left their posts and you must

arise as the Ashen one, destined to rekindle the flame and bring light

back to the land. Environments are even more detailed and atmospheric

than before, with varied landscapes and breathtaking vistas offering the

most visually impressive Dark Souls game to date.

Experience Lothric
As

the first Dark Souls entry on Xbox One, Dark Souls 3 takes full

advantage of the console's new hardware to deliver the most

technologically advanced FromSoftware game to date. With dynamic

lighting, high-resolution textures and enhanced particle effects, Dark

Souls 3 delivers spectacular levels of detail to bring this fantasy

world to life.

Refined combat
With all-new weapons and

abilities, Dark Souls 3 refines the intense and skill-based sword combat

that has made the franchise so popular with players looking for a

challenging, difficult role-playing experience. FromSoftware has refined

its combat, resulting in more precise movements when flanking and

attacking your enemies. Enemies now have more complex moves, which means

you must always be watching how your foes fight in order to defeat them

in combat.

Unique multiplayer
With its captivating world and

immersive combat, Dark Souls 3 features one of the most unique

multiplayer modes in gaming. Players have the ability to summon help to

their worlds, using the online connectivity of the Xbox One to call

other players to join in battle against the bosses that inhabit Lothric.

As well as this, players will be able to invade other players' worlds,

resulting in intense one-on-one fights that require skill and patience

to win.

awesome game, however going to wait for the goty edition to come down to this price for the collection

£10 with some points I had. Bargain

Amazing game, dont talk to me about farming proof of a concord kept though lol

Thanks, that's one Christmas present sorted (for me!)

I bought the GOTY version of this after all the good reviews but cant seem to get into it. I love games like Skyrim, Fallout, Witcher, Mass Effect but i found i didnt like the following about this game: Bad graphics on character selection screen, endless repeating of stages when you die, very hard difficulty even on early levels, menu UI needs work, bad interaction with character NPC's. I dont have PSN so cant appreciate the online play site for support, this game just wasnt for me.

Yep, that sounds like Dark Souls, and people seem to love it.

Most the things you state as criticisms are positives for us who love the series. Not one of those "Get Gud" people, but don't believe all games are for everyone, just like books, television shows and music (and really shouldn't be).

The souls games and offshoots thereof are quite different games and definitely not for everyone.

There's more than a touch of the emperors new clothes about the games i've noticed and quite a few people have been duped into buying a game that probably wasn't for them by others lavishing undue praise on a series. They feel they have too also then do the same because everyone else told them it was the bees knees.

That said this is a great price and if it turns out its not your type of game you could pass it on for practically no loss (if any) after trying it out. Personally waiting for the goty to drop myself. I hear its amazing!

Once you learn to take your time, find spots where you can quickly gather souls, realize for the hard parts (bosses!) you can get online players to basically kill them for you it becomes a fabulous game. The level design and general atmosphere in the game is unsurpassed I reckon. But probably not for everyone.

Bought it. I loved Bloodborne and the DLC. I'm tempted to get the GOTY but with my backlog of games I might not have time for DLCs

That's just your opinion. My opinion is that the games deserve every bit of praise. One of my favourite series along with Bloodborne.

I bounced off the first Dark Souls several times, and then something clicked once I played Bloodborne. I've been hooked ever since.

yep, and that's just yours.

Your mistaken in thinking i'm not a fan, i am. Just offering a more impartial view than most so as not to cost anyone £12 of there hard earned pounds on a game that might not suit. It definately isnt for everyone.

Played and completed Dark Souls 1 and really enjoyed it but something about it was so draining that Ive never played another one even though I have Bloodborne and DS2 at home still sealed....

Bit off topic but is there anywhere you can pick up the DLC's cheaper than on the ps store?

I know exactly what you mean - I need about a year in between playing them. Very immersive games, but they do require a lot of effort to really get the most out of them.
