Wow another bargain. Any one know where to or if u can get a bigger hdd 1tb needed i think lol
Buy this game without hesitation: it will change your life.
It's a marmite game... generally depends whether you get a sense of real achievement or real boredom from doing the same thing over and over again. I think I stopped to play Skyrim, but I may go back to it at some point if I can be bothered. =D
Skyrim: You get hit by dragon fire and get a bit of damage.
Dark Souls: A dragon looks in your direction for a second "You Died!"

Dark Souls is a brilliant game but very tough - I only got though it with help of random online guys that helped me with a few of the bosses.
amazing game and a good price
Heat added

Sadly the DLC Dark Souls - Artorias of the Abyss is still £9.99. .

I think you've summed it up nicely: a mind-numbingly repetitive game where the sense of achievement is gained largely if not solely from (eventually) overcoming an uncommonly difficult learning curve and crazy difficulty level. I ploughed many, many hours into this game which in retrospect I wish I hadn't. Each to their own I suppose, but it isn't the stone-cold classic that many would have you believe IMHO. It annoys me when people say 'get this game without hesitation' as it certainly isn't for everyone by any means.
I have a feeling Microsoft are gonna release these as games for gold

Me too. I bought Dark Souls yesterday, so it must come for gold now.

Obviously I can understand it's not for everyone, but the difficulty is a bit of a misconception. It is hard, yes, but no more so than your typical action game. It has an incredibly tight battle system with around 100 different weapons that each have their own UNIQUE movesets. If you dont like a particular weapon, change it up! The key is learning the enemies attack patterns and finding a weapon that you love. If you die, it's always down to you. Alot of people dont have the patience for that sort of thing, but trust me, it's worth it.
The game is massively rewarding (with an insane amount of hidden content), has some brilliant story (which you have to go out of your way to discover, nothing, is forced on you) and a complex, intricate open world where you can literally go anywhere that you see. It also has one of the friendliest online communities I've ever seen... Even the invaders bow before chopping you into pieces In my opinion it's a marvel of game design, and my favourite game of the last generation. I also know I'm not alone in thinking this, so if anyone is reading, just give it a chance or you could be missing out on something incredibly special. It's four quid!
