Thought this was a fantastic offer if you are after a Data SIm. EE are offering 30GB of 4G for just £16 per month. Better yet, this is on a 30 day contract.

Would be perfect for a tablet, maybe a WiFi dongle in the car, or even for a holiday.

Voucher should automatically apply, but have added just in case

Be carefull with some of these EE Data Offers, I had the same deal last year, £14.50 for 30gb, on a Monthly, they dont always allow Roaming despite I was told they would by EE, I had to upgrade to a different more expensive Plan to get Euro Data Roaming included, and you dont get the Full 30Gb abroad, only 15gb Max.

Read the full T&C dont take EE's Customer Services or Chat word for what you get
If you can be bothered, generally cheaper to just get a high data SIM and tether off your phone.

It says in basket use data in eu

So did mine when I bought it, my Son used it on his Hols and I get charged for the Roaming side, went round inn circles with EE, only to be told wrong Package and all they would do is Upgrade me to a different but very simular plan.

Personally, speaking from experience now I wouldnt bother with these anymore, theres no Mins or Text, they can be used for Mins and Text by mistake but you charged the Earth. As said your better off using your normal Phone Sim to Tether as you only get 15Gb Max on these EE Data Sims when Roaming anyway, which isnt much these days compared to normal Pay Monthly Packages now.

Would have jumped on this for my upcoming Holiday in Antalya, however only Vodafone will work there
Heat for the deal

I just upgraded with EE and got 25GB Data, unlimited texts and calls for £16 with 6 month of Apple music. Strange as they don't advertise a 25GB package on their site.
I have been using this 30gb data card in a 4GEE dongle for two years now. One of the best things I have ever bought. Despite it says you only can use 15gb abroad I always exceed that limit with no problem. I used 28.5gb last time in France. Please note that it gives you 4G connection abroad rather than 3G! You can connect, phones, tablet, hanheld game consoles to one dongle so you do not have to buy multiple SIM cards... Heat, heat, heat.
Currently have this on an older offer for £25. All sorted now and saving £9 a month

Yes 15gb max available data in EU.
nice n hot
Will this work in EE mifi unit?
and is it 30gb for use in Uk or 15 for Uk and 15 abroad
Not sure how good a deal this is? I got EE sim only (4G) 100GB per month plus Apple Music, plus BT sport plus £100 Amazon voucher all for £20 per month!

So for an additional £4 per month I get all that (on a unlimited call/text etc basis) and if you offset the Amazon voucher then works out actually much less than this data only sim

Got this highest speed 4g EE and it never reaches the speed of my BT sim. BT sim can reach 110Mbps while the EE is about half that. Tried with different devices in different locations and its the same issue.
I know this is a data sim but was wondering if anyone could confirm if this is able to receive texts ? i currently use a three data only sim that is able to receive texts

That was a 12 month sim only deal this sim is for 30 days only and no rolling contract unless you top the card up again of course and have it on a direct debit
Quidco / TopCashBack ?

You would've needed to activate the "Travel Pass" addon for the free roaming. It should be free if included with your package.

Agreed, but what do you think is a better deal?

Surely £4 a month more for all that compared with just data like on this deal?

Maybe you shouldn't of just assumed and asked them before dealing up?
Is anyone else successful in bartering a decent deal with ee when their contract is up?

I always struggle to get a deal and usually just get offered what new customers get. I'm only looking for about 8gb 2500 mins and whatever texts... I saw the virgin deal for 12 quid a month might have to finally leave ee if I can't get anything decent. What sim only deals did you guys mange to wangle?
Edited by: "PHILREC77" 5th Feb
Is this direct? I thought I got a good deal on a 24month contract with the 4GEE dongle/device for £16 with 30GB. 30 days seems better and I could just buy the dongle elsewhere

Is that still available?
I think you can get unlimited everything on 3 for £20 a month on a 12 month deal. Pos £70 back quidco, haven’t checked may have expired

I’m currently with EE on a 32GB contract, fabulous at the time for £15-17 at the moment.

As soon as the 3 card starts working as advertised EE will be shown the door.

3 will steal the market unless EE wake up.

So Facebook won't load at this speed. Crap

I got mine through retentions in January. Not sure if still available, but I’m sure if you go to retentions they can do a deal for you.

Again as per my previous post for just £4 extra a month you get a whole load more.

how?

Refer to my previous post, I got through retentions..
At just over 50p per GB this is really good if you already have an EE contract. I got a similar deal last year for £1 less, it actually set up a new account and so had to call to get it moved to my account already in use. Now I can add up to 29.5GB to my main number when I need more data, freaking awesome!
Can I add minutes and text to this?
I'm on a ee contract due to end April this year. Will EE allow me to upgrade to this SIM only plan? Really fed up paying extortionate amounts for 10gb of data

That's not an offer that's open to all though, so fairly meaningless. I got a brand new S9 for £259 the other day, doesn't mean anyone else can. Retentions deals are incredibly random and dependant on so many factors that it's pointless mentioning them in a thread like this as a point for comparison. I can guarantee you that most people would not get this deal if they rang EE right now.

Three will never steal the market as their coverage and speeds are generally crap in comparison. Three are my second line. I travel across the country and Three simply aren't a patch on EE for me in most locations. Even in my house I can only get signal on one side of the house with Three.

Cost isn't the only factor when it comes to phone contracts, although if Three works for your usage their prices are very good.
Edited by: "misterleoni" 5th Feb
Three offered me 20GB for £9 but i said even if it is 9p i won't take it. thanks very much. I was stuck with Three for last 18 months. It was very very bad speed wise. Even in central london. 6 month later. I gave them a chance again. Still they sucks. So for me, EE deal is hot.
