Thought this was a fantastic offer if you are after a Data SIm. EE are offering 30GB of 4G for just £16 per month. Better yet, this is on a 30 day contract.

Would be perfect for a tablet, maybe a WiFi dongle in the car, or even for a holiday.

Voucher should automatically apply, but have added just in case

Be carefull with some of these EE Data Offers, I had the same deal last year, £14.50 for 30gb, on a Monthly, they dont always allow Roaming despite I was told they would by EE, I had to upgrade to a different more expensive Plan to get Euro Data Roaming included, and you dont get the Full 30Gb abroad, only 15gb Max.

Read the full T&C dont take EE's Customer Services or Chat word for what you get
If you can be bothered, generally cheaper to just get a high data SIM and tether off your phone.
George2001918 m ago

It says in basket use data in eu

So did mine when I bought it, my Son used it on his Hols and I get charged for the Roaming side, went round inn circles with EE, only to be told wrong Package and all they would do is Upgrade me to a different but very simular plan.

Personally, speaking from experience now I wouldnt bother with these anymore, theres no Mins or Text, they can be used for Mins and Text by mistake but you charged the Earth. As said your better off using your normal Phone Sim to Tether as you only get 15Gb Max on these EE Data Sims when Roaming anyway, which isnt much these days compared to normal Pay Monthly Packages now.

Is this not just a data only sim?
No minutes included?
Just got 3 of these for the business
Just ordered for the car Mifi, thanks
Remember when the rpi price rise applies its on the pre discounted price, therefore it will be 2 x rpi. I had similar deal a few years ago

That's not an offer that's open to all though, so fairly meaningless. I …That's not an offer that's open to all though, so fairly meaningless. I got a brand new S9 for £259 the other day, doesn't mean anyone else can. Retentions deals are incredibly random and dependant on so many factors that it's pointless mentioning them in a thread like this as a point for comparison. I can guarantee you that most people would not get this deal if they rang EE right now.

So I still think for £4 more or in the case of the student link, £3 cheaper! That is by far a superior deal.

I'm well aware of this deal but it is still account dependant - eg not everyone with an EE account will get this. I specifically recommended this to a couple of relatives on EE when this was posted and neither of them were able to haggle the deal - so my point was that you'd have to be prepared for disappointment or immense hassle.

Some EE stores are doing 12 month SIM only deals for £8.50 which include 1GB data. Arguably these are an even better option if you have a second account on EE with lots of data, as it is a piece of cake to share data between lines through the EE app. I also have a 100GB line, so personally I'd go for the £8.50 line if I were after a second line on the same network.

Deal is ok. I pay £20/month and get 40GB data, unlimited calls and texts

That's bizarre since BT are piggybacking off EE.

I might cancel my Three unlimited data sim and go with this or virgin as download speed with Three is between 2-10 Mbps
Just watch out for the rpi increase due in next few days / week ... £16 will increase ... I’d wait until EE announce it before getting a sim only

Are you sure that was a fair exchange
I’m currently hanging on to my EE MAX plan with 30GB of Data for £17.99 a month.... had this now over 12 months and expected it to go back to standard price of £41.99 .... in which case I’d swap. But still seem to have £24 loyalty on my account..... any thoughts? Do I get to keep this?

I've one of the plans and i'm staying on the plan until EE remove the discounts
I paid £14 for 5GB (30 day rolling) so glad I can give notice for that deal and get 30GB for £2 more. I'm sorted for the foreseeable future!

Not sure why that is. BT is a virtual operator and uses EE signal and masts for carrying their customers. One of the reasons they then bought EE. Plans over the next few years are to phase out the EE brand in favour of BT.

Three will never steal the market as their coverage and speeds are …Three will never steal the market as their coverage and speeds are generally crap in comparison. Three are my second line. I travel across the country and Three simply aren't a patch on EE for me in most locations. Even in my house I can only get signal on one side of the house with Three. Cost isn't the only factor when it comes to phone contracts, although if Three works for your usage their prices are very good.

I have a Three SIM in a 2018 iPad Pro and a BT SIM in an iPhone XS Max. Side by side, Speedtest shows average download speeds of 6 vs 60 respectively. That's with Three coverage rated as good.

I've been thinking about moving to a BT data sim for the iPad. I'm guessing that the speeds with a BT / EE SIM in the iPad should be similar to the one with the phone ?

Which is which? The speeds should be pretty comparable.
My mistake. I put them the wrong way round. The BT SIM in the phone is TEN times faster than the Three SIM in the iPad. That’s too big a difference.

I got 191mbps down on my EE SIM on Monday. I've never reached speeds even close to that with my Three SIM. I suspect they undertake network traffic management to accommodate the huge volume of unlimited or high usage contracts they now provide.

My thoughts too but as a long term user who doesn’t take the mess, they shouldn’t be managing my throughput.

If there is an end date you’ll see it under the add ons section. I’ve loyalties that have been on one of my number for over 3 years. Try avoid calling them because they will probably remove them if they notice you’re out of contract.

I was looking at getting their 30GB Data SIM Plan - 30 days (for £25, 15Gb would have been enough but for a fiver extra and double the data its a no brainer!) as i have the Tp-Link mifi which i can throw it into. Plus there'll be around six of us and i wont mind them using it

I don’t know, you would need to contact the OP of that deal!

Looking at that deal it states the 20% off is from original contract price which is £35 hence 20% is £7 and the current contract is £20 less this £7 which equates to £13, hence better than this deal

Maybe you shouldn't of just assumed and asked them before dealing up?

It should have had free EU Roaming (see Item 2 below), see here from the MSE, Martin Lewis rarely gets its wrong.

1. 'Free' roaming means you won't be charged extra fees to use your UK allowance of minutes, texts or (most) data when in the EU. As a general rule, you'll be able to use your phone for the same cost as in the UK. So minutes, texts and data will come out of your UK allowance, and when you exceed your allowance (or if you're a pay-as-you-go user), you just pay what you would in the UK. There are a couple of exceptions though – see below.

2. The changes to roaming charges will take place automatically – there's no need to sign up to anything. It's up to mobile phone providers to implement the EU rules (some already have). You don't need to do anything to benefit.

I got EE sim only (4G) 100GB per month plus Apple Music, plus BT sport plus £100 Amazon voucher all for £20 per month! So for an additional £4 per month I get all that (on a unlimited call/text etc basis) and if you offset the Amazon voucher then works out actually much less than this data only sim

where can i find this deal? :O
Try EE retentions, they offered straight away to me without any haggling!

I’m loving the 100 GB, never need to use WiFi as 4G so much faster, I can stream and download as much as I want! Last month I still had over 20 GB spare! Also can use in Europe.
I have this deal and the one ages ago about 4GB data for £5 a month. I use the family sharing feature to transfer data between my phone and tablet.

Cant recommend it enough!
Also 20% extra off through unidays
You should be able to cap this to avoid any extra charges ( I could when I used currys)
