had one with gprs, wayy slow.

3g, multitab browsing in a decent browser would make this an ok deal.

wait, this is gprs not 3g. rubbish misrepresentation by op.

It is 3G and GPRS..... quote from the website "3G with FREE Unlimited Usage " so its not a misrepresentation by op.

Surf the web as long as the page isn't too demanding. This is some rehash of Windows mobile with limited support then over GPRS.... any £100 phone is better than this junk.

I don't think it is actually 3G. The datawind website is very cagey, but I think they use GPRS still, but with compression. It's apparently new and exciting, and not something that has been around for at least 8 years. No Siree.

The device itself will be out performed by most budget smartphones, and winCE isn't exactly consumer friendly. Picking up one of the cheap netbook deals that float around here and getting a dongle and 3 PAYG data sim would probably only be a bit more expensive, but give a much better experience. This only has an 800*480 screen according to the spec sheet.

Or there is that Kogan tablet for <£100, but I'm not sure off the top of my head if it has a 3G modem in.

I also hold a general rule that any tech equipment marketed by a TV shopping channel isn't likely to be very good.

Good device for where there is no 3g signal around, personally I wouldn't buy one though.

Ahh that sucks how they can get away calling it 3G, I thought TV advertising had rules about this sort of thing Sorry for the bad deal then, My plan was to get this and take the simcard out and use it in my 3G modem and sell the netbook on or mod it.... but if its not REAL 3G then I will pass
