You've got a Nintendo Wii. You have a broadband Internet connection on your PC. You've heard about all the fun things you can do online with your console. Yet when it comes to connecting your Wii to the net, you don't know where to start. You need a Wii LAN Adapter, the latest networking solution from Datel.

With the Wii LAN Adapter for the Nintendo Wii, you can create a wired high-speed internet connection for your console. Just plug the adapter into your Wii's USB port, and then connect it to your PC's DSL or Cable modem or your router using the six-foot patch cable supplied. It's as simple as that! It's USB 2.0, taking advantage of the latest, fastest USB protocols.

Because Wii LAN Adapter uses a cable connection, it always offers high-speed, reliable data transfer speeds. It's ideal for places where wireless connectivity isn't possible, perhaps because of thick walls or interference from other products, and it's faster than any Wi-Fi connection. At last, you can enjoy uninterrupted online gaming!

I have always found that the built in WiFi connection in my Wii is up to any downloading that I have asked it to do. I wonder if we really need this product.

I think if you find getting a wifi connection confusing, establishing a lan connection would leave you just as foxed

good idea if you dont have wireless router

This is great for the Wii, as it is quite fiddlerly setting up the wifi securely, plus most wireless routers now use the faster 'n' protocols, the wii can only use the slower 'g' protocols. The adaptor will run at speeds similar to 'n'.
Nice find.

It has the internet on it and you can download old skool games, there is quite a bit on there and isnt to hard to setup as long as you know passwords etc, worth a look

The item above would be good for someone without wireless anda good price:thumbsup:

Maybe not nationwide but Toys R Us in Ipswich had another 3rd party LAN adaptor with a built in cooling fan for about £8 - does the job fine and works with Mario Kart online

I never saw any settings for wi-fi in the wii and have gone through all menu options I'm pretty sure.
