Multi award-winning comedian, Dave Spikey, filmed ‘Live’ on his sell out nation-wide tour.

They say that Laughter is the Best Medicine and “Doctor” D Spikey is here to administer a massive dose straight onto your funny bone.

Humour lies in the antics of everyday life and Spikey’s ‘Best Medicine’ is full of brilliant anecdotes and observations – it’s quite amazing just how funny the world around us really is through the eyes of one of Lancashire’s finest.

Spikey spent over 30 years in the NHS and so amongst the stories of school days , cheese addiction, monkeys on bikes , llamas on the loose , dancing dobbers and a crash course in “jollyphonics”, he delivers hysterical stories about hospital life including his recent experiences as a patient with a “below the waist” problem. Our former ‘biomedical scientist’ bears all and quite literally holds nothing back ......

Dave certainly gets close to the bone but in over 90 minutes of brilliant ramblings he never oversteps the mark – HILARIOUS.

See him live - if necessary kill to get tickets!

very funny as jerry st clair sadly not funny live

Good stand up, better if you're from the north as well I think but you can't go wrong for under 2 quid! Heated!

As a northerner I've never found this guy funny, even in Pheonix Nights he played an annoying and dull character, he's even worse live.

Phoenix Nights, co written with Dave Spikey
Max and Paddy, Peter Kay ditched him

notice the difference.

Ordered Thanks.

I wouldn't accept this if they were giving it away. Went to watch him a few years ago in Bolton, just awful. Yet another comedian to build a life of the back of Peter Kay.

Buy a box of Christmas crackers and read the jokes out of them instead, same sort of standard.

Not some, most. All of it is setups and lead ins to material the guys have already written. They've got tickets to sell they'll always look for a way to work there strongest stuff in.

Quite the opposite. Many people claim that if anything Peter Kay ripped off Spikey's material and passed it off as his own, which is why they fell out and Kay hasn't done anything decent since Phoenix Nights.

never seen any live material but i thought his jerry st claire character was great.

that bullseye he did was rubbish the way he kept saying"dirts" very annoying
