We bought this and it went back. Side 2 sounded god damn alwful, total misspresssing in my ears. Side one had loads of surface noise and was almost unplayable. Sadly, as a Bowie fan (even after buying brilliant discovery on vinyl), I don't recommend this vinyl for playing. If you need a nice picture on the wall, then this will do that job fine, although there are some much better examples!

That just completely put me off, too.

Ordered, then cancelled after reading the reviews.

I got the space oddity picture disc album a couple of years ago... It was ok, but sounded rough.

More to look at than play.

Yes, but picture Discs have always been just for collectors - but that knowledge comes from back in the 80s for me I guess. I would have thought that nowadays they would have overcome that?

I have a picture disc of "Are we not men?" from back in the day - but I also bought a standard disc to play and didn't really give it much thought - guess that was just the way it was back then (and now, LOL)

Good price but pressing is awful apparently. Would just sit collecting dust.

There is an interview on youtube where he talks about the session for Life on Mars - he got home after and felt he had played on one of the best songs ever written.
