Can you do it again if you did it last summer?!

Kids will be stoked.
If me and my husband both do this do we need to pay additional to take our kids with us swimming?

Thanks they are both over 3, do you know the cost or is it a case of paying £14 for them too? Cat find the answer on their website
Nice deal, though doesn't look like any clubs in edinburgh are included
They take your payment details in order to get you stuck in a long contract after your trial if you don't cancel. He's quite crafty that david lloyd.
only gym and not Tennis/badminton courts?

Well I suppose it depends if they let your children have their own trial or make you buy guest passes for them. They will probably be more flexible if you make them believe you genuinely are concidering joining
Last year we did trials for 2 adults plus 3 kids, 14 each for all.

Do you mean you paid 5 x £14?

Can't remember if it was 14 each or something difference but effectively yes, 5 x 14 day memberships for 70 quid.

Has anyone completed the form and heard back yet?

I did and I have. As I have already been a member of David Lloyd about 5 years ago, they have informed me that the offer does not apply to me.

They have tried to sell me their membership at their usual ridiculous price at which point I have told them the conversation is over and hang up.

To give you some idea: every gym (and there are many), including those with swimming pools is cheaper than David Lloyd where I live.
David Lloyd is the Apple of the fitness world. You're just paying to be part of the club.

From the way I read this, I should think you are exactly the type of person this offer is aimed at. The first line reads:-

Our 14 day trial is the perfect opportunity for you to see what's changed in your club since you left.

It clearly says "since you left"..... well, you were a member, and you left.
Last time I took up this offer i applied on line and went through a whole induction/form filling session.....
Yet when I was at the club, I witnessed people just turning up with cash in hand to take up the offer - why not give that a try?

Here are the Ts & Cs

It does say "Previous trialists are excluded from this offer" so if he has had a trial after he was a member he will be excluded

However it does also say
"The decision of the manager is final and the manager reserves the right to refuse admission."

That's quite funny - guess I'll never find out what has changed!

While I like a good discount (usually to buy something I don't really need), I don't spend my money where my custom is not wanted. For example: I wouldn't try to get in a nightclub if somebody in my group has "wrong" shoes, or go to Costco since they wouldn't even let me have a look without getting a damn card.

It would have been an easy £14 for DL since I would have probably gone maximum twice but I guess they didn't want to take it.
