Oh thank u OP...Cud do with luxuriating in their steam-sauna-jacuzzi .. Much needed. .. Taa (y)

You won't be eligible if you have ever had a 14 day trail before. DL is only looking for people who would potentially be buying longer memberships.

flipnfil

Good deal, however being a long standing member I have to agree the management of these clubs is abysmal. I remain a member purely down to location. They are up for sale at the moment and struggling to find a buyer. Please note, if you do decide to join the ‘joining fee’ and monthly fee is negotiable despite what they will say.

mustardsenf

Not voting - however unlike every company i had to deal with, the way DL handled the most difficult time of my life was beyond the pale. I would never give such a company a penny again.

Neiliboy

Don’t bother with the Cambridge branch. Not unless you like shower gel dispensers that don’t work, toilets that don’t flush and of course, leaky ceilings.

Good quality gym with many facilities but very high monthly cost. Will suit above average earners.

StevenTucker

I too got a call yesterday, but they offered me a free trial.

Craig51286

i selected to have mine at the Fulham gym, I got a call informing me they don’t do free trials ha

David Lloyd Clubs - 14 days for £14
33°Expired
Found 24th Nov 2017Found 24th Nov 2017
Can't go wrong at this price. Gym, pool, tennis, loads of different classes, and even a spa and golf courses at some of the clubs.
Picard123

Unless you use the gym everyday (or simply have alot of money), I would never join a David Lloyd just for the gym. Normal membership is just too pricey for that. In fact, membership prices have gone up and up over the last 10 years. Classic example a corporate trying to drive more and more profit from their network of clubs. The one nearest to me for example is £160 per month including the tennis. Really nice club but given that I don't use all of the facilities, it's alot to pay.

Slash

Only good for playing tennis. Get far gym equipments even at Pure Gym.

Picard123

Yes. That is a bargain. Where I am it costs £8 just to book an outdoor tennis court for an hour in my local park and £10 for a yoga class at the local community centre, whereas practically everything is free at David Lloyd (apart from certain tennis classes at the heavily subscribed clubs eg. Raynes Park in London, Bushey in Herts etc). Each club can be quite different and often reflects the particular locality eg. Finchley very busy.

top_spotter

How did you manage to get it half price? And how much was it in final. I am trying for family membership but seems they are not budging..any pointers would help.

MIB15

Not bad for 14 days.....probably cost you the same amount for a day pass

Gopher42

More like Harold Lloyd he was a comedian too that died.

Dave_c

Agree its just they are so much better if you have a family and kids etc, to some people the amount is probably nothing for me I think its expensive

kpmatthews

I use to be a member at David Lloyd (half price through work) and after moving site I joined a closer cheaper gym. It's more like comparing a Galaxy with a Focus - David Lloyd is just bigger, it's all the same equipment.

Around £95 per month with 1year contract but need 3months notice to quit nowadays... otherwise over £100 for 3months contract and 1month notice to quit it... I think 3 months notice is too long

anneo4512

This was a great deal, wish there were more offers like this.

because they are vultures.

davesherman

Voted hot. I'm already a member at Virgin Active so the deal isn't of any use to me, but this is a great price for a 2 week unlimited access deal (equivalent of £28ish a month) and great for something to do with the kids as quite a few David Lloyd gyms have outdoor swimming pools.

spence129

They had free 14 days offer last week. I got a call so went in, got ignored for half an hour and walked out. We were members with our kids, cost £145 per month. Kids pool constantly closed, once it made them physically sick about 20 mins after getting out of the pool. One child cut their hand on the pool tiles and it was ignored. 2 steam rooms I don't remember both ever being open together for almost a year. When you pay a premium price you expect premium service. I would avoid dl.

oilit

ranges but iirc around £50-60 a month off peak - I think i pay 770 ish a year up front for anytime (which is marginally cheaper than monthly payment for anytime access). But knowing DL I suspect they have different costs at different locations !

Exactly!

nidgesy

The rep rang me back and wanted £14 for the free pass. There's a 'free' open weekend over Easter though.

FreyaWhite

I was angry because I hate misleading offers, this was never free unless you had a flyer, which most didn't. I didn't want others to go round in circles. DL confirmed they messed up on this one but I trust they have corrected it.

madeupname

There was a free 14 day pass available at davidlloyd/promotions/free but this was taken down very quickly. I saw it in the Evening Standard money section last week but a day or two after I signed up it was gone. A sales rep from the club then called me to arrange an induction. Not sure if it's for the whole family, I'll have to check when I go tomorrow. Freya seems quite angry and doesn't seem to understand there was one offer that was free for 14 days - what the OP posted - and now there is a different offer which is £14 for 14 days - NOT what the OP posted about.

FreyaWhite

The club membership team told me I can't have this as I just gave up my membership. So a worthless offer to me. Thanks for 0 .

arnie

yep. that sounds familiar...my membership went up from £60 about 2 yrs ago and I was told to pay £100 for 2 adults. and that was a basic membership only gym and swimming pool access. I 'politely' refused and havent been back since. might go for 2 weeks now though
