expired now i take it?
No, I was a member (although, just a discounted weekend one) previously.
That's quite funny - guess I'll never find out what has changed! While I like a good discount (usually to buy something I don't really need), I don't spend my money where my custom is not wanted. For example: I wouldn't try to get in a nightclub if somebody in my group has "wrong" shoes, or go to Costco since they wouldn't even let me have a look without getting a damn card. It would have been an easy £14 for DL since I would have probably gone maximum twice but I guess they didn't want to take it.
Here are the Ts & Cs https://www.davidlloyd.co.uk/forms/crm/~/link.aspx?_id=5168215DFD0B421F99BB5CB8C8A420F3&_z=z It does say "Previous trialists are excluded from this offer" so if he has had a trial after he was a member he will be excluded However it does also say "The decision of the manager is final and the manager reserves the right to refuse admission."
From the way I read this, I should think you are exactly the type of person this offer is aimed at. The first line reads:- Our 14 day trial is the perfect opportunity for you to see what's changed in your club since you left. It clearly says "since you left"..... well, you were a member, and you left. Last time I took up this offer i applied on line and went through a whole induction/form filling session..... Yet when I was at the club, I witnessed people just turning up with cash in hand to take up the offer - why not give that a try?
