There are lot of fakes at Amazom
As I said, it's from Direct Cosmetics - had no problems with them. Or Amazon themselves for that matter..

Problem is, none of the reviews state where they bought their bottles, all too common with Amazon reviewers. I can only tell you my experience - and I have bought fake bottles from ebay (went on Fragrantica, Youtube and Basenotes and hit the seller(s) with a dispute and pictures/a list of detailed Real Vs Fake differences - eg, batch number missing/wrong, irregularities in the bottle, cap falling off, misprints on the box - and of course the scent smelt awful). One seller even had the cheek to reply to my Feedback (after I returned the dud bottle to him!) saying I wanted a freebie!!

I am a bit of a fragrance freak, and maybe a bit obsessive when I get a bee in my bonnet - so I'm a nightmare if a seller takes the mickey. I've bought lots of scents from both Amazon and Amazon Warehouse, well aware that some buyers do the "switcheroo" on Warehouse (not just scents - all sorts of things) - only one bottle, Joop Homme, has came un-sellophaned so far (but apparently that's par for the course, anyway).

Either I've been very lucky or others have been unlucky - maybe Amazon are getting stuff from dodgy suppliers or buyers are returning items and switching with fakes?

It's very easy to authenticate your purchases if you want to devote half an hour or so - or just ask on forums. One way to start is to go on checkfresh.com/dav…tml
