Dover to Calais on foot: £1
Car afternoon day trip (online only): £15
Car full day trip: £17

use promotional code: dailymail

When I tried online it told me the code was invalid but I rang the helpline 08705 980 333 & used option 4 and told them I had tried using the promotional code online they said they could book it up for me at the discounted online rate as opposed to the phone rate which was £4 more.

Book from today until March 28 2007 and travel from tomorrow until march 29 2007.

A £10 supplement applies when you travel on a Saturday.

I've always found France to be shut on a Sunday (something they've got right) so dont bother going there then if your after shopping.

Im pretty sure I remember reading you can have a car with upto 9 passengers, but you'd have to check when you ring up to book.

im confused, can somebody explain this to me please

1 person car day trip 17 quid

so what are you paying the 1pound for?

If you go as a foot passenger it's £1.

Take your car for the afternoon it's £15

Take your car for a full day and it's £17

£1 > is for each foot passenger (no car )

Dover to Calais on foot: £1

:giggle:

Thanks

how long is the trip ? when does this expire ?

90 minutes journey time on a ferry unless you use the two new SeaFrance superferries, in which case it's 75 minutes.

The wine and beer warehouses just outside of Calais port are open on a Sunday (the main reason I assumed everyone did these day trips?)

I used to go on similar trips with Stena line a few years ago, mainly Southampton-Cherbourg.

They make a great day out if you are on foot, especially if you live near the port. Well worth a quid!

He said "how long is the trip"? I though he meant the length of the holiday... e.g. it's a day trip... :?

Nice find and Thanks for the posts with extra info guys

thread title is a little bit misleading - there isn't much to do in Calais, arriving on foot... be better to put the £15 or £17 in the title.

Unless you just want to do a quid non lander for some (not as cheap as they were and nowhere near as cheap as belgium) fags:whistling:

Oh by the way, the outward journey tends to take 2 1/2 hours and 30 minutes return:? :-D

I hope I didn't waste to much of your time, knowing you could have been doing something so much better with it.

Happy new year though mate.:)

Changed the title so know one else takes the time out to moan about it.

Plenty to do in calais!!
Thet have a market Saturday morning
Plenty of shops
Plenty of good resturants and bars/pubs!!
Nice beach for a leisurely stroll

Anyway.... Added to your rep matey as I was going to book a trip for monday and the cheapest was posl at £27, so a bargain at £17 :-D

Nice one Tim. This code is being sold on Ebay for £3.00. Hope people check hotukdeals first.
