I'm intrigued by this game but the pc reviews from last year were pretty awful. 40047243-82pAg.jpg

Looks poor [Video]

Looks like a lower budget version of RE2 remake (which is what it is!).
The complaints about combat, enemies and puzzles could all be levied at RE games. Which are an acquired taste, but also part of the genre. I think if we're willing to accept a few rough edges given the budget, this should be a fun Resi clone.
It's a terrible game with poor quality across the board. Woefully bad character assets, poor hit feedback, bad sound, awful lighting (The whole game is far too dark) and one of the worst inventory systems in the long sad history of bad inventory systems.

Worst of all is the writing and voiceover, which weren't localised. Characters often shoehorn in exposition or backstory into present tense lines and it makes no bloody sense. Every character is written to be nasty, edgy and in the end it comes off as trying too hard to make evil characters appear cool.

The worst line in videogaming history; " I don't care what Titter-ridden cow curdles the milk those pasteurizing big shots call us in to mop up"

That makes zero sense in English and when I asked them about it on social media they said "We think this is cool banter."

I was hyped for this, but after playing the demo and then seeing the reviews of the final product, it's a massive disappointment and as much as I hate giving Indies like Invader criticism, I can never support a game like this.
