Heat. Thank you. Been looking for some discounted price digital 4K movies. Seen one out of the lot (Aquaman and don't mind watching it again), so win win for me.
Do you know how long this deal will be on for?

Feel Warner Bros held them back quite a bit, if they’d have let the director do what he wanted instead of meddling, they’d have been much better.
darkclouds26/04/2020 12:15

I see 3 Shazam aqua man and superman 1

Shazam definitely. Wasn't keen on Aquaman (struggled to stay awake, so may need to give it another go), and whilst Man of Steel was good in parts, still think the flying elements were far too fast and don't understand how Zod managed to understand all of his abilities in less than a day. Wonder Woman is the 2nd movie I was referring to with the trench scene being a standout. What p*ssed me off with BvS was when watching with the kids, they dropped the bloody f bomb. No need in a comic book movie especially superman. Justice League was just abysmal.

I think they’re too dark. If you compare them to the humour in the likes of Iron Man and Guardians you see clear light and day as to why they’re not as good.

I disagree, personally I don’t think they need to have humour written in for the sake of it, the dark tone is perfectly fine IF it’s done right.
You only have to look at Joker, a dark film but done perfectly, IMO Joker is an amazing film.
Warner Bros should not have tried to compete with Marvel and rush out Justice League to compete with Avengers, it was never going to happen.
Warner Bros should have left JL as a two part film, Zack Snyder had a plan for JL which would have introduced quite a few other DC characters, setting up future stand alone films for them characters.
Warner Bros is to blame for the awful mess of a film we ended up with.

I agree with your point, but I still think JL, SS, Aquaman and all are meant to be comedic super hero films. Joker is a completely different genre. Like the Dark Knight which I think was one of the better DC movies.

Joker, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are the best DC Films so far 🏻

Dark doesn't equal bad. If you want comedy in your superhero movies then that's fine you have 20+ MCU films to watch. Some people want a more mature take on comic book movies, something with actual gravitas and real stakes - not ones that make a poop joke every 5 mins or undercut every serious moment with a quip. Batman for example is an inherently dark character, yet you want humour similar to that of GOTG? Doesn't make any sense tonally.

I'm not having a go at you in particular I'm just really tired of this view that every movie needs a load of humour otherwise it's not good. The MCU has truly diluted people's brains.
BvS and Man of Steel are great cbm screw the haters and Warner Bros for destroying Justice League.

Personally I didn’t enjoy them. As I’ve said previously in this, Dark Knight was fantastic. So it’s not just that I like ‘poop’ jokes in my films

How to you explain BvS then? WB let Zack Snyder have free reign on that film and look how it turned out.

Actually they didn't, the Ultimate Cut is the real movie and much better than the Theatrical Cut which is missing a lot of keys scenes. And BvS is a great movie imo.

It wasn’t a great film, agreed but to think Snyder had free reign on any of the films he directed is silly.
Ultimately he answers to WB, they green light the edited version of the film that they want to release.

Nope, it's the Snyder version. I actually liked Superman Returns, felt like a true sequel to Superman 2. The DCEU needs rebooting, although saying that Birds of Prey was fairly good.

returns want bad my point was press reviews hammered routh for wooden performance as superman but it’s no we’re near as bad as Henry Cahill

The Ultimate Cut is an iTunes Extra, but only HD.
If you want it in 4K then you’d have to get it from the US store as they have both the Theatrical and Ultimate Cut as separate releases.

Not via iTunes, 4K theatrical HD directors cut as an Extra.
However it is in separate 4K versions via Movies Anywhere.
Not sure if a US iTunes purchase would give both in MA or not though as mine was from a 4K Ultraviolet code in Flixster which gave me both versions in MA.

I’ve just bought the ultimate edition from music magpie on eBay do £2.72. Only BluRay, but going off the comments I fancy watching it
Why is it that the Google Play versions are only HD and more expensive? I just don't understand Google Play sometimes...

No mention of Man of Steel in the title. 😝

Only limited characters can be used in a title
What a deal that is! So tempted!
