Sorry Mr Dibley, but I fear it might get a bit cold in here. Unfortunately all these cheap, high megapixel cameras from poor brands are generally rather poor cameras. They rely on the fact that people seem to think that the number of Megapixels is the be all and end all of digital cameras. This is simply not the case. The most important thing in a digital camera is the lens and to some extent the quality of the sensor. For a similar price or not too much more, you should be able to find a Canon/Fuji/Panasonic/Sony/Nikon etc which will be far superior as they will have a better lens. For that money you may be looking at an older model, probably with fewer pixels, but it will take far superior photos.

Sorry, voted cold - I know on the surface it looks a good price, but unfortunately it's not a good product!

For that sort of money their is loads of choice argos do an Olympus 7MP for £59.99, alright not stacks of accessories but brand name, as well as Nikon and Kodak 7mp cameras..know where I would put my money.

ok Mr Attenborough,im no expert when it comes to cameras.hopefully somebody will differ.:?

the aldi one does have a three year warranty tho...

The settings on this are pretty poor. I went for the £50 Fuji from Tesco posted here last week. A quick comparison:

6.3MP vs 7.0MP
1600 ISO vs 400 ISO
1/2000th vs 1/1000th shutter speed

Plus it's a fuji instead of a no-name brand, so the lens will likely be far superior. Cold I'm afraid.

I bought one of these a few months back to 'chuck in my fishing bag.

Qualty of photos is so bad I gave it to my 11year old niece to play with.

Good price **** product

Voted cold

I've never heard of Mike Attenborough:thinking:

I'm not much of an expert either, I just know from researching cameras in the past what to look for. It's a shame that the companies keep trying to increase the number of pixels and then try to sell cameras based on the more pixels the better the camera. 6 or 7 megapixels is more than enough to print out A3 sized pictures. Unfortunately, this is the way they sell them, so hopefully the more people read these threads, the more people will find out that these cheaper cameras are a bit of a false economy. In all these threads you tend to find at least one person who has bought one, and regretted it.
