I hope so...CEX are giving £28 cash for this!!!! Ordered.

Hot price.

Had this on order with Zavvi about a week ago for around £32 (with codes) but was taking ages to come back in stock, ended up cancelling it and buying it on ebay for £24 three days ago. Dammit! Wish I had waited now.

Ordered 1 to try.

Damn this is extremely HOT!! Anyone not voting so because of the subscription needs a slap. Thanks for posting this, have been hanging out for it for ages but couldn't justify the full price and subscription. Have got one for a friend to play online with me too.

Really hope it's not another price glitch and it doesn't get cancelled!

Hopefully this isn't a pricing error and fellow HUKD members and gamers can enjoy what this game offers - personally I haven't the time (and frankly interest) for MMORPG games.

Given that on occasion one can get a £20 PSN card for between £15-£17 (thanks to HUKD members highlighting such opportunities) it doesn't necessarily have to cost £49.99 for a 6 month subscription.

It's someone's own choice whether they want to invest the time and money to play games like these - what you might consider expensive (or whatever) another might consider a fee for a constant stream of support and content for hours of worthwhile game time.

Happy gaming,

Should have been this price at launch really, seeing as it is really the 'key' to play, with one months access.

Hot deal though, dude (was about to post it myself).

I read something somewhere that said you need 23.5GB free space to install the game and all the updates etc LOL

oos

The servers etc for games like these take alot of time and money to maintain so the subscription fee is justified imo, either that or you would end up with alot of server problems/dropouts/connection issues etc.

Yep. There goes the try it and sell it if I don't get on with it.

It must be selling pretty good anyway. Tried 2 GAME's, 2 HMV's, among other shops about a week ago and they were all sold out waiting for more stock to come in. Looking forward to getting it and giving it a try. £20 PSN card from Zavvi with codes cost around £15 anyway. So worth a bash.

Agreed.

Most of the time its the uneducated people that criticize these things. So what if PSN is free? Sony dont provide you with servers to play on, most games use P2P connections, which means no servers. Sony make their money from store sales, Micro$oft make their money from scamming people (charging for something that should be free). Simples.

Not sure if it is selling that well. Stock levels have been incredibly low, rather than sold out because of demand. I questioned this at my local Gamestation and they said they only received a handful of copies with not more stock delivered for 2 weeks. The manager said the launch was very half-hearted, like they didn't care about it. My theory is it was a soft launch to prevent the servers from overloading. I also have a suspicion they'll be a second launch when things are more stable, which will include the updates/expansion packs and with a cheaper price.

Considering its only available on 2 platforms, its currently sitting 2nd in the sales charts behind Dead Space 2. Last time I read 51% was PS3 sales, with the other 49% PC.

Not sure what chart you're looking at (and it'd be interesting to see it) as it was no where to be seen in the top 40. eurogamer.net/art…top

Could be that replenished stock levels have seen a rise this weeks as yet unpublished chart.

Gimps? Bit harsh maybe?
it's quite simple really...you just use the sell-to-cex site, book an order and they have to honour the price for 10 days.

Hmm, put in 2 orders (1 for me, 1 for a friend). One dispatching on the 7th Feb this year, the other copy in 18 months time. By that time £12.85 will be expensive.

Do charts matter anyway? As long as people enjoy the game and not how it's selling, then thats all that should matter.

Edited by: "Caskey" 4th Feb 2011

ah i wondered how long it would take people to see the deal - which is why i purposely didnt post this when i made my order at 12 noon, a good 90 minutes before someone did on here.
for a start i dont need the ''heat'' plus i knew as soon as it would be posted, it would be finished and the heat wouldnt go high anyway.

made my order for 4 copies, £50 less 15% code and quidco = £40.99
already made an order with CEX for £28 each, and the price hasnt dropped either yet as nobody has gotten their copies, but im confident, they are going to be despatched monday so i presume that means i got in early enough. at least a lot earlier than anyone in this thread.
even after posting them should be a nice £67 for just taking 4 games out of packaging and putting into a larger one. will cover the cost of my DS Lite repair which is the only reason i did this, im just glad i got the chance.

This is actually good question. The game isn't selling well so the price has plummeted on Zavii (though surely a loss leader?). In the US the 3 month subscription price has been dropped by 25%, so for the consumer looking to buy the lack of sales benefits us. The downside is it's an MMO and if it's not selling well the game world could be a very lonely and boring place to be. Worst case scenario is the servers are shut down earlier than expected, rendering the game unplayable. I very much doubt this will happen and expect Sony to re-think their pricing, which we're already starting to see.

I for one am thrilled about this price and have every confidence at least one of my games will be dispatched on the 7th. The one with the June 2012 dispatch date I have less confidence in. FYI this price was also available on The Hut, who own Zavvi online and probably share stock, but if anyone has lucked out keep an eye on the Hut's site as although sold out, the price is still listed at £12.85.
