The compact DC24 All Floors from Dyson is 1/3 smaller than a full size Dyson vacuum cleaner, but with just as much power and suction.

Dysons patented Root Cyclone technology ensures you dont lose power as you clean, while the revolutionary Ball design guarantees easy manoeuvrability at the turn of the wrist.

The Dyson DC24 All Floors vacuum cleaner is equipped with a motorised brush bar which features powerful bristles that remove ground in dirt from carpets. For use on hard floors or delicate surfaces the brush bar can be turned off.

A Washable HEPA filter expels only clean air, so allergy sufferers can use this Dyson vacuum cleaner with confidence.

Thanks to an extendable wand and a selection of accessory tools this lightweight vacuum cleaner is ideal for getting into all those hard to reach areas including curtain rails and awkward corners. In addition, the handle of the Dyson DC24 All Floors compresses for easy storage and transportation.

What's the difference between this and the DC25???

What's the difference between this and the DC25???

I think the main difference is weight. I have one of these and when purchased i was worried it might not have enough suction power but it's fantastic. I've seen and picked up a DC25 in a shop and it was alot heavier and not as easy to move as this.

The DC24 is very compact -and so stores really easily and is easy to carry around and upstairs etc.

Going to show this to the missuse tomorrow as our old DC05 Motorhead is past its best after 9 years.

i can highly recommend 'the ball' vacuum. makes hoovering soo much easier. it is a little heavy to carry up the stairs- but worth it though. fantastic suction- though tilting it can be abit fiddly if you're not used to it (by tilting i mean to get it into 'hoovering' position, as opposed to it being upright). i love it and wouldnt even think of going back to the standard non-ball vacuum cleaners!-oh. and all dysons come with a 5yr warranty now. nice

Just ordered and got the 5% LOYAL, hopefully 6% QUIDCO, and hopefully £26.99 recredit which means it may be as little as £135 or so :w00t: Paid over 3 payments too interest free :-D

Do you think its worth the extra to go for the DC25? as im quite tempted for this.. Ive check just the certificate on this site. seems legit to me.

Doesnt seem to be available any more? Its on their homepage, but when you click it, it takes you to a generic bargains page. The DC24 isnt listed.

Great deal.

I've ordered one of these for my mum but purchased it via littlewoods direct. This made is £179 (had a £30 off voucher from here )
We've a very fluffy cat, so ordered the dc25 (animal & ball) also from littlewoods with the £30 off voucher. Waiting for it to track on quidco.

A friend of mine has used both the roller (DC14) and ball (DC24). Though it does seem ingenious, her main complaint re the ball (and it is a major and quite serious one) is the amount of strain it puts on your wrist. In order to turn it and change direction the entire effort is displaced on the wrist.

Sounds quite dangerous and after checking it out I see her point. Just be aware of this and try before you buy!

The main difference between DC25 and DC24 are:

- DC25 has long hose on back (useful for stairs), DC24 has a shorter hose (more suited to reaching cobwebs in corners and not for reaching up staircase).
- DC25 is heavier than DC24, but they are both light compared to others.
- Dc25 has a bigger bin, Dc24's bin is smaller so needs emptying more often (I guess the price of small and lightness)
- DC25 has higher suction power than DC24, but I think they both pick up well.

- One of the main things to remember about dyson's is to wash the filter, this really makes a difference to the life - have you washed yours recently? - These ball ones are a bit different, they have two filters to wash, one on the top of the dust canister and one in the ball, you need to wash them both.

- I think if you really want a light machine go for the DC24, if you are fit and young enough go for the dc25.

The ball thing is a bit weird at first but been using mine for a few months, I tried a normal vac the other day and really missed the ability to turn!

Many thankks for that reply...

God job I've held off ordering this, this morning. I've just been to Costco and their DC25 All Floors Vaccum are £206.73 inc VAT at the moment, but they have a voucher (picked up at the door) which starts tomorrow till next sunday for £15.00 off the price. I think its cheaper than CDiscount ( yes i know, they give you 15% credit back at end of the month, but its a bit pointless if you dont wont to buy anything else from that site). Also its easier for me to pick up the vaccum at the weekends as my local HDN depot is miles away and dont open at weekends!

You know you do that by putting your foot on the red pedal at the back, don't you?

only it's not red on this one.lol. nah, its a little more complicated - i cant explain it, whoever has one (like myself) will know what i mean

I've got one - that's why I mentioned it. The pedal is a dark red colour. Maybe they changed it after it confused people? I haven't found it a problem but no worries.

Just ordered the DC 25 from this site. Did anyone have a problem validating the order? It said at the end that the card had not been authorised and to check the site again later.
I called my card company who said that there was no reason for it to be refused and no attempt had been made to make a payment today.
Is it just that the company does not have real time payment methods? Has anyone else had this?

Got my DC24 today after missing yesterdays delivery guy. My word it's dinky Only gave it a quick try on the lounge rug but it seems very good. Just gotta wait'n'see if I get my Quidco and £26.99 credit now :whistling:

Does anyone know if the 15% credit is still available? Can't find it on the homepage!

Ignore, out of stock anyway!

Got my email for the £26.99 credit. It comes as three voucher codes, 2x for £10 and 1x for £6.99. Still awaiting Quidco to track and will chase this up as I seem to have bad luck with this.
