Great deal thanks OP. My eldest has loved reading The Beano and will be sad when the offer ends. Its great that the weekly comic experience has been shared with another generation in my house. Another duty as a father ticked off. DC are still pushing the 7pct discount on subscription which isn't worthwhile over getting the mag locally , especially if there is a free gift included. Downside is lose a regular subscriber. Suspect it get samey after a while (much like private eye or viz).

Beano is a weekly comic apparently. So three months supply then.

Heat added - nice memories, this and a 10p mix up! Sadly when I moved out my parents threw out my entire collection of various magazines & comics. I even had a first edition Beano (from my uncle - I'm not that old!). My kids want multimedia (is it even called that any more!) - they binge on YouTube now, comics are ignored, they still read real books though despite having Kindles!

18p in late 80's/early 90's. I used to get around £3 pocket money a week, so was much cheaper in comparison

Tsk tsk - wouldn't catch me reading this

Bit of a bargain, its really good currently. Nigel Parkinson who draws Dennis and Minnie is superb.

I remember stopping my Beano subscription when it went up to 50p >_<. That was a chunk of my pocket money ^_^.

Yeah...but he was a wee nyaff in his day lol (highfive)

You pay £15 upfront as a one off payment.

If you weren't able to grasp the simple ideas in my response then unfortunately i don't have enough crayons to explain it to you.

Thanks again. Ordered for my son for xmas

Anybody know if the comic is still good? I remember the Bash street kids having a boy called "fatty" and there was a character called "plug" who was very ugly with big ears. Dennis hated Walter the softy etc etc. What I'm asking is: Has poisonous political correctness ravaged this once great comic?

Thanks.Just ordered as a gift, you can get it delivered to a different address than the billing address. Also gone through topcashback, hopefully they will pay out!

Seasons in Thailand Hot/Dry - March to May* Rain - June to October* Mild - November to February *South - Rain; May to November, some rain in dry season

Although the climate varies throughout Thailand, you can visit all year round. The best time to travel is during the cool and dry season between November and early April. In the south, the climate differs between the eastern and western coasts."

COLD. Cheap because its rain season. Far worse than North West standards too. Just google Thai rain season.

Can't really argue with this price it's excellent. You can fly to Oz direct from HKT too so could be a stopover on way there

I think they have all gone now - searched for ages in Nov and Dec; nothing!!!

Just a quick update...the option for UK postage is back on the site again so you can have it delivered in the UK..must have been some kind of glitch earlier oO

Well that's really strange to put it mildly as when I ordered (and I presume the same for the other person who posted that ordered) the option of UK postage was available in the drop down menu on the item page where it says UK/Overseas and now it's only offering Overseas...so sorry but no idea why....

Let me just check where you select UK postage as I selected UK postage....

You are most welcome...hope you enjoy :3 I usually buy the Broons and Oor Wullie books for my Dad for Christmas but although I'd got the other 2 books I'd held off buying this one as the lowest price I had seen it for this year in the lead up to Christmas was £7.79 @ Amazon (they've now put the price up to £10.66) and every other year I've been caught out by buying early and then Amazon has suddenly dropped the price to about £3 just before Christmas...sod's law they didn't this year so had been waiting for a decent price drop to get it for my Dad so was quite pleased to find it for £5 especially as it includes postage with no minimum spend.

wont let me order one as there is no where to click for UK postage just overseas

no it says minimum 1 year contract (12 month)

Could you cancel after the first direct debit is taken and get the first 3 months for £3 ?

As a student we moved to ban a certain red top newspaper from Campus. A unanimous decision was to replace it with the Beano.

Used to get this bought for me every week by my Grandad and still bought it myself after that for longer than I care to admit. Long before it went all 'PC' friendly. Wish you could get all the old ones on pdf.

code spr14 not valid edit: code has to be inputted at the top of the page before selecting your package, and NOT in the code box at checkout.

A bit of nostalgia rather than a Hot Deal here, as I'm sure its much cheaper in your local newsagent.... however if you don't use your legs... Includes Dandy#1 as a pullout.

That is such ashame that you have had to wait so long. I know that lasteverdandy.com still have some copies left.

I ordered mine from newsagent when it was issued and was told it would take up to 8 weeks. It still hasn't arrived and I have a feeling that it never will.

Next batch were posted yesterday if you are still waiting.

Mine arrived today, but I did tick the "deliver nearer Xmas" option

Yep, two weeks here. Hope we get it soon, communication is rubbish, emailed them a few times but will ring them tomorrow
