a mate sets there Xbox as your main, they can play your games, you split the cost, only do this with people you trust.

I thought this was a good deal? Currently £49.99 on theXbox Store and £46.99 @ CDKeys

Why cold?

not sure why this is cold? this seems like a really good deal

never voted myself, having the game share price listed before the normal price could be considered misleading/deceptive by some people, just a guess tho, maybe they just dislike dead rising?

Because not many people will benefit?

I think people are hating on the game because they removed the timer. Physical copies can be gotten for £29.99 in Sainsbury.

Probably saw the Sainsbury's deal and just compared base price.

I would think most people would have a friend or family member who they trust to share accounts with. Gamesharing is open to anyone.

i suppose the cold votes are people who dont game share/like half price games. ignorance is bliss.

I'm pretty much avoiding this game as it as implied at E3 that it would have Co-Op campaign and also would be a Play Anywhere title.

The final product has neither of these things

Don't even need to trust that much in a way. Both parties can use something like Revolut, set the accounts to only use those payment methods. Then just add money when they want to buy a game between themselves?

£32.99 for a download of a game that came out 5 mins ago is a nice deal. Game sharing makes this a steal. Puzzled as to why this is cold.

This has no co op campaign like DR2?

No Timer
No Heath Items (Health Regens like Call of Duty)
No Story Co-Op (a pretty tacky linear challenge co-op mode instead focusing on minigames)
No Psychopaths with cut-scenes/backstories like previous games (randomly spawning Maniacs take their place and from what I gather are like the lazy mini-bosses that you find in the likes of Destiny).
Also a completely different voice actor for Frank is worth a mention.
Classic style gameplay is also planned to be released as premium DLC.

The combat is a lot more fluid though and the story itself is apparently pretty decent. The biggest sin of all though is that this game should have really been a reboot of the franchise instead of a continuation. As part of the overall series/story arc it feels very much out of place due to the vast changes to both Frank and the overall gameplay.

The game itself isn't a bad game, it's just not the game players expect as a continuation of the current Dead Rising series.

Probably because people pressed the minus button?

I voted cold as I don't game share so for me this isn't the cheapest way to get the game. I literally don't know a single other person with an XB1 currently (it's all PCs and PS4s or last gen). Also what if your game share partner doesn't like Dead Rising and won't go halfsies?

Anyone post a quick step by step guide to game sharing please?

How many Xbox's is it limited too?

Thank you

It is interesting to see how people vote. Whereas you only see what benefits you, I, and I'm sure many others would look to see whether something benefits others.

I'm not greatly bothered by the hot or cold voting (of course I prefer heat!) as I know it helps save money for people who do gameshare.

The majority of cold votes come from the consensus.

Suggest a better way for HUKD moving forward would be to shield the + or - numbers for a time and let people make their own decisions until something becomes 'Hot' or an hour has passed, whichever comes first. The 'New' status of a deal is too short in my opinion.

Good idea.

i hate deals like this they're stupid. Obviously its cheaper if you go halfies. If me and my mate go halfies on a tv its like £200 each, or if we go halfies on a crate of coke its £3. going halfies in not a deal

Lol that's a bad comparison. If you split a TV do you both get a TV to use any time at your convenience? Do you both get to drink all 24 cans? The reality is both parties get full functionality of a full product. Which differs greatly from what you have suggested.

I see voting on this site as a personal thing (I mean money saving wise, I don't vote games cold if I don't like them) , I don't vote based on whether it's useful for other people and tbh I would be surprised if it wasn't a very small group of visitors to this site that actually game share. The other thing is you could apply the half price logic to lots of thing, me and my mate could split all the blu-ray costs, sure we can't watch it at the same time in different houses but that's not much of an issue.

I see what your saying however the key difference and why you don't see deals with split costs is due to the simultaneous play ability of gamesharing. That makes it unique to all other situations.

I would say you still need a good deal of trust. Say I set up the account and we shared it using revolut, what happens if I decide I don't like you and change the password? How long till you can no longer access the games? It's not like you can complain to MS.

OK I split the cost of a sofa with my flatmate and we both use it simultaneously, OK that's a bit silly. My thoughts are not everyone game shares if this went hotter than the other deals and someone who doesn't who isn't regular visited the site and looked at the hottest deals they may think this is the best price full stop and they will have paid more than they need to.

this deal should be hot. granted it's not the cheapest for a physical copy but being a digital copy it's a lot cheaper than the next digital price

Wow. I'm a bit gutted tbh. Thanks for the info. Games companies love 'fixing' things that aren't broke don't they?

The idea behind this is that you can have access to all your digital games where ever you go but you can only have one "Home Xbox" where anyone using said Xbox can access the games without you being logged in. So to game share, you would log into a friend's Xbox and set it as your home console, they log into yours and make it their home Xbox. You get their games and they get yours without either having to be present. You are not limited to how many people log into your Xbox and make it their home one, but you can only log into one. You can change your home Xbox at any time but limited to the number of times you do this. Hope this helps.

Say whoever wants the game more? Buy it on the other persons account? Shouldn't want to double cross then Just some thoughts that's all. I understand your opinion thought!
