Not bad if you’re open to second hand
Have you played this one @joeydeacon ? Or added it to the virtual pile of shame?
Just finished this. Really enjoyed it. Not without fault and typical Kojima really. Just like MGS4 the end cutscene lasts 90 minutes so have a wee and make yourself a brew first.
Got a mint used copy last week for £22. It’s ok, very slow paced but not that far in yet.

I’d played about 30 hours over the course of a few weeks (though cut scenes likely took up half that time), thought I was doing ok until I discovered I was missing the point of the game after seeing the size of the undiscovered areas of the map. I’d just been going back and forth between the wind farm and different places. Came to the conclusion I’m too busy and don’t have time for it. Sold at a profit on eBay.

The storyline is a load of self indulgent gobbledygook really and the driving dynamics are the worst i've experienced in any game! especially when driving a truck up a slope! add a bit of snow, and wow..... laws of physics go straight out the window.

It's also extremely grindy if you want to 5 star and unlock everything.

However, i still enjoyed it. the gameplay is very unique and i liked the community element of it. Played it for about 150 hours... There were also very few bugs ( if any ), which is refreshing

Haha! I was similarly critical of Days Gone. Completely uninspiring, trite ‘open world’ gameplay; literally nothing you haven’t seen before. The missions are either a) kill some zombies, or b) kill some bad guys. The first half of the story is utterly forgettable, but picks up a bit later on...

It was my most played game of 2019

I can relate to that. I’ve been enjoying “playing the field” (as @BubaMan has said before): dipping in and out of games with little or no commitment, like Tekken 7, Slay the Spire... Not looking for anything serious at the moment. That long-term relationship with Red Dead 2 completely ruined me

Yeah, the best bits for me were seeing that my structures were being used, or thinking I'm stuck and finding a rope left by someone. Really cool. You're bang on about the story though, it's nonsense.
