About the Game

Playing as special agent Francis York Morgan (call him York – everyone else does), it’s your job to investigate the brutal murder of a young local beauty in the town of Greenvale. Amidst the backdrop of soaring mountains and a small American suburb, York must solve the mystery of the Red Seed Murders and stay alive in a place where supernatural creatures and a mysterious raincoat-clad, axe-wielding killer seek to end his investigation for good.

Part suspense-filled horror, part action-adventure game, Deadly Premonition offers an open-world experience packed with locals to meet and places to discover, as well as numerous side quests and mini-games that will help you solve the murders and uncover Greenvale’s deepest, darkest secrets.

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut includes new features:

A surprising new scenario from the game’s director, Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro
Enhanced HD graphics with new textures
Reworked control system allowing for an even better combat experience
Additional content to expand the mystery beyond the original game

Ya got me mate, ya got me

Whats this game like? Was free on Ps plus this month and haven't played it yet

I got this because of all the "cult classic" and "so bad it's good" reviews. Normally I will go for that sort of thing but I just can't get into this game. I perservered as far as finishing the lumber mill so a reasonable distance in, but I didn't really enjoy it at all so it will remain unfinished for me.

At least you gave it a crack. Some gameplay elements are poor but it has a great charm. I recommend it, especially at this price!

Agree, see past some awful mechanics and there's a lot to like.

I gave up early on into it, was kind of expecting Silent Hill meets Twin Peaks but it was just a bit weird, hard and boring for me

Looking at youtube footage of this game it reminds me of Alan Wake, which I found really dull.

I almost gave up on this early doors but persevered and was well rewarded. The early stages are dull but it blossoms into a real masterpiece. Quirky, different but oh so addictive, with a great story. What's that Zak?

tried voting hot but for some reason it shows cold. Sorry OP, this deserves heat.
