HBO delivers another stunning, evocative drama in DEADWOOD. The channel has an impressive reputation when it comes to producing edge-of-your-seat television (THE SOPRANOS, SIX FEET UNDER), and DEADWOOD follows neatly in that tradition. Set in 1876, the story unfolds just two weeks after the defeat of Custer at Little Big Horn. The grim and unsentimental series revolves around the outlaws, miscreants, and murderers in the frontier gold-rush town of Deadwood in the Dakota Territory. Seth Bullock, a former Montana sheriff, and his buddy Sol Star arrive in town to set up a hardware store; soon, they're crossing paths with such legendary Western figures as Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Reaping the benefits of the lawless, merciless world is Al Swearengen, the saloon and brothel owner. Presented here is the shows first, second, and third series.

great show, voted hot

Awesome price for an awesome show. I was gutted when this got cancelled.

Bargain! Hot from me

Excellent price. Absolutely cracking show! A real shame it didn't get a proper ending.

Fantastic, though I must resist temptation (£31.91 Varisty/Quidco)

According to Amazon it's a pre-order and not out until October 27th! :?

Amazing programme, excellent price. I paid about £17 per season so this is hot hot hot!!

Good price for this show. I am assuming that the release will be bare bones which is a real shame as the Region 1 (albeit more expensive) is packed full of 'em. Still a good price:)

God rest the souls of this poor series... and pussy's half price for the next 15 minutes.

"Al Swearengen: Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or ****ing beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back."

What is it with HBO - they produce some of the best dramas on TV worldwide, then never properly finish them! Deadwood's down the tubes and so's the fantastic Carnivale - which I finished watching a few nights ago. That only lasted two seasons and I was so disappointed that the story was left at such a cliffhanger.

At least the Wire has been completed (still have three seasons to get through on that).
