Nice, tempted but is there any good controllers on the PS that are similar to xbox? Tried one years ago and was rubbish!

Good deals! Although I wish the discount was for PS4 Pro too...

Can you still get this discount? I don't see it on the nus website

considering a slim myself, trading in FIFA, controller and my white 500gb console £200, so £80 to go slim. gonna wait for a better deal.

the slim has no optical out, maybe an issue for some headsets and av setups, I like the idea of less power consumption and having my ds4 connected via USB and not Bluetooth.

All the PS4s can cable up a DS4 though...

Im debating on whether to get a slim to save some money or go all out and get a PS4 Pro - I'd only be interested in 60FPS game modes though. Couldn't care less about 4K / HDR.

wish I could get this but haven't got any discount so full price may as well wait for pro myself

there is no option in settings to specify ds4 communication method, I have the CUH-1116A running 4.0. and going by the user guide this setting will only appear when the new CUH-ZCT2 controller is connected. when I turn off Bluetooth on the controller, that's it, even when I have the USB connected.

not looking at the pro personally, wouldn't be upgrading to 4k or VR in a hurry, maybe even next gen. id have to see some good results on improved frame rate to invest in a pro, can't see it thou.

The same person who leaked the slim/pro says that the PS5 will release late 2017 or early 2018 latest. Thats literally next year. Obviously they don't have much support left for PS4 pro or vr.

I just checked. It doesn't appear it's on there anymore. I redeemed it on my account ages ago, and it still works however.

Logged in to my account on the NUS website. Got a promo code. Added it to the promo code box on Amazon. Once you've applied it once, it persists for all orders going forward and doesn't need to be re-added each time.

Yup, it's £1500 of goods max, so £75 off in total then it ceases to work, used mine up loooooong ago.

Saved much more recently with the current 20% off the warehouse deals.

Where are you getting that info from? That's just not true...

What do you mean they don't have much support left for VR and ps4 Pro? They haven't even been released yet!

"From 18 October, 2016, Amazon Student members will receive an extra 10% off selected PS4 500GB and 1TB consoles. The Offer will be automatically applied to your order at checkout. This Offer ends at 23:59pm BST on 1 October, 2016." Dates don't make sense or am I reading it wrong?

They should be studying.....not playing on a PS4 !

Ps4 slim is £216 with Amazon Student and 10% discount applied- very good price.

Is this a Sony bundle or 3 separate items?

It's actually 15% off
not 10%

Students: currently proudly announcing to the world that they're knocking … Students: currently proudly announcing to the world that they're knocking their landlords because they don't believe in paying market value for their digs but of course many of these rent dodging parasites will find 300 bar to get this deal in (_;)

of course mate, priorities.

What you talkin bout Willis?

tungle106

it's 10% for Amazon student account and additional 5% for NUS Extra member's.

Original Poster

I just noticed, if you use the code from the nus extra site for 50% off amazon student membership this will work for the nus 5% off, if you didn't already have it that is.

I already got this deal from amazon before the 10% student discount (already a student prime member) does anyone know if the price guarantee would cover this? I was gonna cancel it and reorder but i was afraid I might not be eligible for the deal anymore...

Northerndave

They should be studying.....not playing on a PS4 !

Why, so they can then lecture people about it on an internet deals website in later life?

I can't even apply tge nus 5% voucher..it used to work ages ago

So much bitterness towards students on this forum. Not the first thread I've seen it in. Maybe try redirecting your misplaced ire towards the large corporations dodging tax, MPs paying for two houses on your tax dollar or the super-rich participating in tax avoidance schemes... instead of young people being given 5 and 10% discounts which don't actually cost you anything.

If they play the ps4 they won't develop the ability to do so!

Why? It's not as if you didn't save £75 overall. Big purchase or lots of small purchases, you still saved £75.

Northerndave

They should be studying.....not playing on a PS4 !

By that logic you should be working not looking at PS4 deals ...we all have some free time...

I think the student discount total is reapplied annually. So you get up to £75 of savings annually.

Just bought an NUS card to get this discount, was gonna preorder on saturday luckily I waited

I am only getting the 10% at checkout. How do you get the extra 5%?

Tax avoidance is not tax evasion, if I was a big corporation I'd do all I could to get out of paying it too!

I been to the bank today and even with an interest rate of 0.35% if we end up keeping the money from the sale of our old house in Austria in our savings account for over a year we'll go over the grand threshold and have to declare it........

I say good on Google, Amazon whoever and shame on those so jealous and bitter to preach on this matter, especially those hypocritical lowlife MP's like that Margaret Oppenheimer sorry Hodge and that wrong'un former chairman of the home affairs select committee Vaz.

Anyone willing to pay more tax than they have to is a mug, anyone criticising those who pay as little as possible is either naive or a hypocrite or a bit of both, fact!
