Fantastic.
Wow, perfect. Just got to argue with myself not to buy it! My Samsung has just got a pixel line down one side now.

Bloody bargain, this has Netflix 4k built in and Amazon Prime coming soon , also rumoured to have HDR coming by firmware update shortly. It's FALD (full array local dimming) not edge lit so the blacks are unbelievable. Just an amazing price
If only this were 3d I would have picked it up in a heartbeat.

Darn it, no delivery to Northern Ireland
By paying just a bit extra, you can get 55" 4K 3D Sony or Samsung. This is too much for such brand even at 65"
This or the Samsung UE65JS9000?

A question I've always asked myself is it really worth paying all that extra for a 'badge' product. Unfortunately I have bought several un-named products in the past which have usually for one reason or another ended up on the scrap heap. Guess that's why a VW costs way more than a Dacia but still out sells by a big margin!
nice find!

me too, but I feel we are asking too much of the sub grand price bracket. Here's hoping for a boxing day bargain.
Amazon are really getting on my nerves regarding what can be delivered to Northern Ireland

Hold on, this isn't another misc brand from deepest China! This is a huge brand which has just not been seen on the UK market until recently. If you do your homework, you will discover that they are one of the largest manufacturers in the world and they have novel technologies which, arguably, place them ahead of many of the non oled brands.
Hot!!!
If amazon just had a funding option..... its a bit too harsh to say goodbye to 1k in one go.

They do ..you can pay over 4 years @16.9% APR
No no no no no!

I really didn't need to see this deal so near Xmas. Only saving grace is its curved which I'm not a fan of if it weren't I'd be in the dog house again...

Hmm interesting. . Am now reconsidering my 55ju7500 that came today

Already the 3rd largest TV supplier in the world behind Samsung and LG. Obviously most of those sales are in their home territory but Hisense are going to be a major force going forward.

Why is that? I've been looking re3cently at TVs and I quite like the curved ones as they don't seem to reflect light as flat ones do.

What's the general consensus - curved or flat is best?

Bloody bargain - Yes!! However Amazon Prime may not appear. A number of sites suggest that there would be an update (by November/December) to enable BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime, but the statement on Hisense .co.uk states:
"Please note BBC iPlayer will be available on this model via a software update by the end of 2015. We are currently working to get Amazon Prime Instant Video available to this model and expect to announce further details in 2016."

I have been watching this sit at £1199, with no other retailer coming close price-wise. I would like the John Lewis 5-year warranty and cheap collection of old set, or a similar deal from Richer, but nothing seems forthcoming.

All my research suggest that this is a great TV, not OLED or ULED, no guarantee of HDR etc. just 65 beautiful curved inches. At £999 I can't see myself saying no. Well that's my Christmas sorted.

Experimentally the wow factor with curved appears to last emotionally a massive 10 seconds. What follows is the issue that unless you're viewing in the central sweet zone the picture quality drops off very rapidly so if you live alone then go for it but if you're a family man then they aren't such a great idea.

No it really isn't, its just a gimmick.

i agree, i remember about 3 or 4 years ago i deliberately chose not to buy a 3d tv as i was confident it wouldnt it wasnt going to take off. Same thing will happen with curve tvs
I actually like 3d ......less of a gimmick then the curve.....considering the great bargains to be had on large 4k uhd 3d sets, I'm going to sit tight a little longer, as I can see prices falling even further and also there is simply not enough 4k out there to justify an upgrade.....would really love the oled's to fall in price to the kind of deals we are seeing at the moment.......
Ordered.... I blame the red wine.
