I really like this stuff but it’s absurdly fruity by the standards of a malt. I reckon some people who like a peaty dram will be surprised.

As others have said, this Deanston 18 is the best value 18 yr old single malt out there. Non-chill filtered, natural colour, bottled at 46.3% - and available for as low as £56.73 on Subscribe & Save. Grab yourself a bottle - its a no brainer.

Incidentally, the cheapest I've ever bought this for on Amazon was £44.99 on Jan 2018, and the last one I bought was a smidge under £55 about 2 years ago. Luckily I still have one unopened in my collection.

Thanks, decided to buy at £56. Also on S&S getting Glendronnach 21 y/o for £133 to add to my whisky collection. Unlikely to open either anytime soon lol and an expensive month for whisky.

Given the way prices are going, I'd stock up on 18 year old whiskies like this, as long as this is your style of whisky. At the same time I wouldn't buy it for the sake of it being 18 years old. I happen to like Deanston, so thanks very much for the post @Dadbid

I fear the way things are going with inflation and after the budget next year, official bottlings of 18 year old single malt whiskies will cost over £100. I really hope I'm wrong in my outlook, but hey, it's probably better to be safe than sorry and buy the bottle.

I'm struggling to think of another 18yo under £90 that compares to this. At under £70 this is a smokin' hot bargain, a perfect present to the whisky-drinker in your life.

Ancnoc 18 and Ledaig 18... another level to this one imho....which is a well executed solid bourbon based whisky with a bit of age / nothing to complain about/nice drop but lacks that bit of complexiy / that something a bit special the other two have... imho only of course .....Craigellachie 17 is amazing too and can be found for £89....

If you love the Deanston profile and want to try something similar for similar price I really recommend the Glencadam 15 (which I actually prefer to the Deanston) (edited)
