**** sake!!! i just paid £16.99 for this not even a week ago - gutted!!!!
heat added

Think I paid almost double that nearly a year ago but don't regret it for a second. It has been the ONLY manga series that held my interest from first episode to finale.

Heat!

Brilliant anime! You get hooked from the first episode!

Excellent anime!
This is one of the only "Japanese Cartoons" that I can easily convince people it's not intended for kiddies
The plot and twists are a bit too complex. As for the violence.. Well.. Japanese children are made of sterner stuff than our brood

I'm told the English Dub is actually passable too!

Top draw anime at a great price for the amount of top quality episodes you get.

Quite funny how this crops up in the feed as i'm watching ep 2 now, amazing show & the transition from Jap to English is probably one of the best.

Paid £24 odd for this some months ago and was worth every penny, this is a steal at just over £15.

It is, starts of a bit slow but by the end of the 2nd ep it's all guns blazing, until the end where it grinds to a crawl

That's like saying "Spider-Man: The Animated Series has been the ONLY comic series that held my interest from first episode to finale."

Anyway, good price, even if it's overrated a little. Incredible anime for over half of it. The last third was gravely disappointing though. If you like more serious anime, check out Monster. Finally, in general people need to stop whining about English dubs. We have it good. You should listen to half of the Spanish dubs. A lot of English dubs are passable, but too many people in the anime community are weeaboos (Japanese fanatics, who, for some reason, think that Japan is the best nation in the world).

sub > dub

My son had just got into this off the back of Soul Eater. Perfect for an upcoming birthday!
Cheers

Fantastic series. I agree that English dubs are usually very good, and as a lover of anime for over 25 years - for me, it's the story and animation which are critical!

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being a purest, but I'm never going to be Japanese no matter how much I wish I was

they adjusted the price over at zavvi (which was about 25 quid) to match the price at the hut

Fantastic series. One of the best.

The only downside to this set is the extras where the Canadian actors spend a lot of time patting themselves on the back. (although I don't know why you would watch/listen to the dubbed version)

But the show is awesome and for a manga/anime fan a bit of a must-own.
