Laptop deals seem to be a minefield at the moment. I'm torn between 3 or 4 I have seen on here. I thought I would put this one in the frame to see how others think it measures up. Ms office for 1 year seems like a good bonus.

Why cold?

Looks good to me... HD & office. Heat added

My limited experience tells me your budget is not far away from getting an ssd instead of the hd.

They make a notable difference.

I don't get it ad I have seen inferior laptop deals to this one go hot. And yes I could get ssd at this price but only 128gb and not with full HD and the software bundle. Oh well it was worth a try.

You can get the same deal from ao.com:
Lenovo 310-15ISK, Intel® Core™ i3, 4Gb RAM, 1Tb Hard Drive, 15.6 inch Full HD Laptop - silver £289
ao.com/pro…spx
Microsoft Office 365 Home Normally £79, you get it for £39 when you buy it with this product.
McAfee Livesafe Unlimited 2017 Normally £80, you get it for £20 when you buy it with this product.

Probably just because it's a VERY deal... Shame as as a complete package in my opinion it's a good deal.

The ao.com deal is actually slightly cheaper at £348 and you don't have to pay for delivery!

Has this got an M2 slot? Probably best to buy a laptop with an empty M2 that you can upgrade with an SSD without sacrificing the HD.

The Acer Aspire do so you can have both

I saw a video..take hdd off, put an ssd in, buy something similar to an cdrom case, put hdd in in, take normal cdrom off and put hdd in cdrom space I will search that link:)
So you have ssd as main hdd, and laptops hdd is like an extra 1tb partition

Can someone please tell me if 1TB HDD is better than 128GB SSD. Sorry I’m a total novice.

HDD is slow and buggy and die after a while SSD is like flash memory very fast and reliable. I got same laptop with SSD and 8gb and it's super fast for 379 from John Lewis. With all those clouds u really don't need 1TB now especially if it's gonna die suddenly.
