There seems to be a hard core of fashion victims who spend £50 and upwards on a pair of wellies (there - that's the cold votes solicited! ). Absolute madness unless you think anyone cares about the brand you're flaunting while walking the dog. If they're Hunters they won't last more than a few weeks anyway (Hunters aren't what they used to be!).

If you have a sensible head on your shoulders something like these will do the job at a tiny fraction of the price.

Have you seen these in person?
I was wondering if they were rubber or PVC type material.
Also are they shorter than the standard fashion wellingtons, they dont look knee high

Well said. I don't buy wellies anymore unless they are comfortable to wear. I gave one to charity which I ordered online because they so uncomfortable for me and postage to return was more expensive than their cost.

you get wha tyou pay for.
I don’t know the quality of these but I’m not sure if the word “durable” should be associated with a pair of £7.99 wellies!
cold, not hunters and dont come with a wax jacket and a land rover
Bet they last a LOT longer than Hunter !

Had to throw my last pair of PVC Wellies out, the rats in the garage decided to nest in them last winter and chewed them to pieces, I'd sooner they went through these than "prestige brand" jobs!

Sorry, my post wasn't meant to be a dig at the OP. I'm actually interested in the Wellingtons but I made a conscious decision a few years ago never to buy PVC ones again as they tend to fall apart after a year or 2. My father had some rubber ones which he had for over 20 years and he used them regularly.

My local Lidl is a few miles away so i cant pop over just to have a look

Often you don't! That's just the kind of thing someone who wants to be mugged for a pair of £40+ wellies would say!

Make your own judgement.
