Thoroughly enjoyable and another unputdownable book from Dan Brown here at a very good price of 99p in Kindle Edition on Amazon.

GoodReads - over half a million ratings.

Synopsis
When a new NASA satellite detects evidence of an astonishingly rare object buried deep in the Arctic ice, the floundering space agency proclaims a much-needed victory...a victory that has profound implications for U.S. space policy and the impending presidential election.

With the Oval Office in the balance, the President dispatches White House Intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to the Arctic to verify the authenticity of the find. Accompanied by a team of experts, including the charismatic academic Michael Tolland, Rachel uncovers the unthinkable - evidence of scientific trickery - a bold deception that threatens to plunge the world into controversy...

Hope it helps someone.

Yeah the da Vinci code was a real bad book, don’t think anyone liked it..
Great book, good price
Decent book, Angels and Demons was his best tho'
Most of his books have the same plot twist
Dan Brown is one of those authors that people think is cool to hate, really don't know where that came from, perhaps it's because he's so clearly anti religious lol. Having said that, I think this is one of his weakest offerings, so if you haven't read any of his books I wouldn't start with this one.
I liked Da Vinci Code, nothing else though.
Wow! After reading the posts above, can't understand why this isn't freezing!!
Think I'll wait for another post from @Boz ; his recommendations are usually great...and free!!!

This isn’t freezing because it’s a decent read - as a fair few have said in comments it’s fashionable for a certain set of folks to hate dan brown, why, I have no clue. As for boz yes his posts are always cool - I have hundreds of books from his posts
I imagine that it's 99p well-spent for an alot.
Yep people love to hate on Dan Brown. Granted he’s not the best writer, but sometimes you just want an enjoyable easy read. Not every book has to be Ulysses. I read this many years ago and found it enjoyable, if a bit derivative.

Well put together there, echos my views on his books.

Not really; Brown's writing skills are perhaps on a par with the author of 'Fifty shades of grey' - he's just not that good at writing.

He's like an average to poor singer who sang the right song at the right time and it all went well for him - despite the fact the song had been sung many times by many others often far better but never at the right time.

Brown is like the Jeremy Kyle of the writing world, he appeals to low brow audiences and works them over.
I'm a fan. Heat from me.

Any escape from the Brexit debacle is welcome.

No.

I would suggest it's little if anything to do with hate or any religious stance, rather, it's almost a comfort to consider the possibility that well written literature is still held in high regard by some in society.
Brown's offerings are a million miles from well written literature, indeed, that someone who consistenly flaunts the rules of grammar and syntax should be considered 'a great author' by so many . . . . is testimony to how the education system has failed so many.

Anyone who has ever read Brown shall recognise . . . . yes, you go Brown.

Yes, it's a bit sad to think that so many consider this standard of writing as any form of good.

But, in a world where total dullards like Trump can be elected, where power can be handed to imbeciles like Boris and where VAR is hailed as the answer, I suppose anything is possible.

The world is changing mate - like it or not

The world is changing mate - like it or not

It is indeed, but in matters such as this it seems to be regressing rather than progressing, thus, not so much changing as retarding - liking it or not may or may not be a factor - who's to say (please don't say Brown )?

P.S. I hope neither you nor anyone else might take my comments personally - they're just my opinions and I only share them should anyone want to read all sorts of opinions positive and negative.

P.P.S. This is one of those rare occasions where the movies are infinitely better than the books.
