PU leather? Yuk. They should call it L Plastic, which would be more accurate.

i agree. they also use pig skin too and its classed as a leather i watched a documentry on it at college but for under a tenner i dont think its to bad much rather use this than a soft neporene case

Cold - no spare MicroSD card compartment. Hang on a minute....

Well someone was going to say it...

Seems a bit over the top considering it has a plastic back and Corning Gorilla Glass. There is nothing to dent/ scratch unlike Apple stuff.

This kind of thing just adds pointless bulk.

I'm just going to get a pouch / sleeve and leave it at that.

I got this one for my last Android Tablet

It's not Gorilla Glass, bro, just "Hardened Glass".

Plastic rubbish, sold by shysters who aren't honest enough to describe their product adequately - mentioning leather, leather, leather throughout their ad, with one small reference to the weaselly 'PU leather' is not acceptable business practice. Boycott such dishonesty!

Ah, I saw it listed as Corning® glass and make the connection.

Actually it is gorilla glass check the reviews Techradar say it pretty much all tablets and smart phones use Gorilla glass.

Regardless people have already managed to break the glass on the nexus 7 so a case still seems to make sense.

ACTUALLY, Google have said it's Corning's "Scratch Resistant Glass"

What a tedious little debate. Pray tell, just who is it that makes Gorilla glass?

They make a range of products if it was that one why wouldn't they say.
As I said though regardless they are breaking so worth protecting

It's not about the subject matter, it was how he said it.

Wonder if the magnets in this will work with this function or if they could cause issues.

Yes I was wondering about the magnet affecting the Tablet, too risky for me.

most electronic equipment are shielded against magnetic fields (like pc monitors when using desktop speakers) Most devices these days use Solid state storage, so magnets generally don't have any effect on the function of the device

Was in reference to the magnet on/off switch in link rather than it damaging anything

@pondlife ah i see sorry well i have got the case and the magnets on it do not affect the N7. they are very tiny flat ones. im waiting for a couple of friends in the usa to let me no if they will get me the official Nexus 7 Travel Cover and ship me over a couple as its not available here in uk.

Tbh I think the one you've got looks better than the official travel cover. Expect those will be on ebay soon enough though.
