The really scary thing is that the majority of people on here won't know why you've posted that.

You're right because I have no idea what the joke is here, can you explain?
I owned one of these when they first came out, had it for 7 years and hit 100k miles and not one fault. Ran really well and no snow stopped me getting anywhere with the 2wd version. Good boot space. Would buy again and would recommend. I’m also 6ft 2 so comment above is nonsense! Heat

Should say ‘have’ not ‘of’. Pleased to have secured the deal.
Is it a good price for the car? Certainly - but it's worth test driving one of these first. Tried as a replacement for the PHEV and it seems flimsy and if you're over 6ft you can forget it.

They only have 3, google will find a few dotted about not a common car. Won’t have great residuals but a fair price for new car
Terrible review in What Car - but at this reduced price with that spec still interesting IMHO.

Then and now are two different things! More plastic in use now!
Great car just not great discount! 50% will be more like it to sway a few of us....,!

Yep it's a joke for the resident grammar nerds who are 'really scared' by such mistakes. Sad but true.

Well what did you expect..ASX is a lower end car than Outlander PHEV which is £36K

Yep - know that. But I expected something that was a smaller Outlander but with lower spec, same quality. Was disappointed.

It's not nonsense. It's an opinion. Unless you like to sit bolt upright, you can't get the seat back far enough.
Is it not underpowered? 0-60 12.2 = pretty slow in real world driving and poor MPG as well.
There's a reason why it's so cheap... .

People who will likely buy this won't care it's not fast and don't do lots of miles. They will also likely keep it for 10+ years as they will have zero issues and likely only get rid as the interior will get tatty. If you change the oil regularly it will almost run forever.

Longevity and durability are its strong points.

If you do lots of miles and want to trade it in after 3 years then it's probably not for you.
I rented one is these and it had trouble pulling it's weight up hills, had to switch down to third and even second on some. Wasn't impressed with build quality either.
Keyless operating system........

...guaranteed access for everyone.........
I have a Black Edition ASX4 2013 model.

Have to say this is my 1st 4x4/SUV type of car (all my other cars have been Coupe (3 doors) E.G BMW 320D). and jumped in engine side from 2.0 to 1.6 (as now live in a city and have a family) have to say the car is nice to drive and seems to have some nice power for a 1.6 with a car this size.

the only bad issue i have to say is dealership servicing is more expensive then BMW and Mercedes,
E.G a standard service Oil and filters cost around £300 and the 50K service is like £600-800.

i have also heard people where the car exhaust has failed and to replace the full unit from the deal can cost anything from 2-4k for the exhaust where you can get a custom aluminium made for less then 1k.

Sins owning the car over the last 2-3 years the car has had 3-4 recalls.

I mean... it's a Japanese car the interior is ratty from the factory.
Not automatic I rang and asked.

Appreciate your points but with a cheap engine low tech (poor economy) engine I would have expected the price to be lower.

I'm not sure what you are really expecting. The next generation will no doubt get the 1.2t unit from Renault which only achieves 36.5mpg in the Qashqai. So pretty comparable.

Low tech Japanese design engine Vs High tech turbo French design engine with loads of plastic parts.
Oh the choices!

As I said it's not going to be for everyone. This 1.6l chain driven engine is like bread. People only talk about fillings, but it's the bread that makes it a sandwich (no idea what I was aiming for with this!).
Good price, poor rating.. 😩

How much for servicing !!!! I’ve got a Merc atm and as nice as it is servicing cost Is silly money and would put me off keeping it more than the 3 years I have it.
Persuading me to get a land rover discovery sport
