well that probably explains the cold votes.

Or you could just buy some really decent BBS / Rotiform / 3SDM alloys for £1,000 instead.

Why anyone pays extra to have shockingly unattractive alloys with their car instead of buying them separately is beyond me.

Because, "non BMW" alloys = insurance hike, these dont

The point of this deal though is that the above is cheaper than purchasing 4 tyres on their own AND you get 4 new alloys as well. BMW original parts are not cheap but anyone who owns a modern Beemer will know this actually a very good deal compared to dealer prices

Going to need four new tyres this size before my next M.O.T. so I am seriously considering this deal.

Just to be clear.. You're saying it makes more sense to pay £400 more for ugly alloys, than £40 a year extra for insurance on attractive alloys?

I see.. Glad we got that one sorted out

Buy but postage. 1.99

Where can you get 4 original 19" BBS alloys (never mind staggered) for £1000. Add on £800-1200 for tyres too.

shockingly unintelligent post.

bmw uses run flat tyres, you cant just get any alloy and tyres! this deal is a bargain!

Agreed, baffled why it's going cold. These tyres cost more than my car is worth but that doesn't mean it's not a good deal. ho hum.

very good deal for what they are.
But... I would rather buy nicer looking aftermarket alloys. Yes there is an insurance rise but anybody who can afford to spend that amount on a car/wheels can afford the additional cost.

As for people who are considering buying just for the tyres, there are.much better alternatives for a hell of alot less.

Personally I would do away with the run flats and get a decent spare. Dave yourself thousands in the long run on tyre costs, and a little on running costs

Hmm, Although I've voted hot & did a bit of reading before buying these (mainly to see if they fit the car) might be worth reading: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190162

These alloys are notorious for cracking.

Why would they be selling off delivery mileage ones though? Delivery drivers kerbed them perhaps?

Could they be some of those off the ship that sank a couple of years ago with containers full of BMW cars?

I can vouch for the cracks, had one of these rears crack on me (1 rear in 20k miles). There better than the previous 19" mind but there's still an issue, I think created by the run flats but BMW should really have been on top of this a long time ago.
These are factory bbs wheels and IMHO look great on a 3 series.

My last 'runflat', ranflat and couldn't be repaired - £300 please (Kwikfit again).

I don't know why this has so many cold votes? It cost me 1600 to replace my tyres last time! This gets me a new set of tyres and free alloys

This is a price that deserves heat though as stated previously I'd be worried about that cracking issue.

Not suitable for M3.well that probably explains the cold votes.

Are they safe for all other motorways?

If they were 18's I would be interested, find the ride a little hard on the 19's

Not quite true, for example Audi fit BBS alloys out of the factory on some models and just add "Audi" centre caps.

Utter unmitigated, unashamed Rubbish. You can fit any BMW with normal tyres even if it had RF out of the factory, its a minor adjustment and calculation for the sidewall profile difference. In fact BMW have got so sick of the complaints they received after fitting RF's as standard on the previous 3/5 series - they now give you an option on tyre type out of the factory.

They come out of the factory with them, then swap them for optional wheels spec'd by the customer (at full cost) and sell these on.

They are 18". You can find an 18" Tyre for £100-120. A 19" you are looking at £200-350

Run flats are terrible - UK roads are too poor to work with them. Buy a can to re inflate and buy nice non RF tyres. Problem solved.

@Markedkiller78

I find it shockingly unintelligent that you pay £300 per tyre by you own admission.

Also, here's where you can find STAGGERED BBS wheels for under £1K - A 30 second search on ebay revealed these..

I was paraphrasing your original post, were you made "shocking" statements

You might want to check that sellers feedback, considering he's selling fake BBS wheels......
