No - similar deal, different dealership group. The clue is in the title and the link.

Really hope these micras have improved over the last model - The 1.2 Micra E i had as a courtesy car was god awful and soul destroying to drive. Literally only a car to get you from A to B (eventually) and nothing else! Almost comparable to a shopping cart with a petrol engine.

Why not just list the different dealers in one post?

All of the Micra's near me are delivery mileage, mostly Domino's pizza.

Different dealer, same garbage. At least if you're in the market for a god awful heap of junk, you have a choice where to get it from.

Fair point. Where would the fun in that be? Different dealers, different stock levels, so seemed reasonable to split them up.

Too much time on his hands?!!

Can't believe you can still buy cars in this day and age without air con.

TBH the UK isn't that hot, but I can understand its uses in Winter, for defogging windows.

What I've always wondered is how do people in aircon-less cars defog windows?

Its a Micra...... a 2 b and who need aircon when you and use a bike (see my listing) and trailer for the family.

Turn the heater on and direct a stream of air at the windows.

mate, you've never driven any cars from the 70s i take it. rags, chamois leather, glove, warm air from the blowers, they were all damp cos they leaked. Happy days!

Air con is not needed at all, it can be nice on the rare occasion of a hot day. But those stupid complex climate control systems are just more likely to go wrong, plus you need to get them gassed and serviced etc. And it is a pain to cycle through all the settings for each side of the car when all you want is a simple wheel to set it to clear the window. My current car has that annoying system, I much prefer the old simple system of my old 1993 k11 Micra :).

This deal is HOT for a new car, and one that should be pretty reliable and cheap to fix. No it is not class leading like the K11 was in it's day, but who cares.

haha...best response on here!!! made me smile!

and hot deal. ...lol

I assume delivery mileage is the mileage from the garage to my house?

Sounds like a good deal. Yes, the micra is not everyone's favourite but so what.

im glad you said that as i was really thinking i was missing something...........surely people dont think that for a car to be worthy it has to have air con.......i must have missed the tropical climates where it is required on a daily basis......the most air con i find i need is to put the window down!!!!!!!

Aircon is very useful in winter to aid clearing misted up windows. Waiting for the heater means just that waiting.

K13 models are poor quality build. check out wikipedia on these before jumping the gun to purchase....

This deal is warm when it comes to the price and cold when it comes ot the quality of the item.

Let me explain.

The Nissan Micra has a mixed reputation

K10 1982 - 1992 - was a good car
K11 1993 - 2003 - excellent car
K12 2003 - 2010 - poor car with many faults with some that could destroy the engine (timing belt the main one)
K13 2010 - present - poor car, badly built in India, short clutch life, other problems

Nissan as a company have changed
Upto 1999 - excellent company, stood by its products, strong desire for engineering excelelnce
Beyond 1999 - alliance set up with Renault, no longer stands by its products, reliability rating decreasing,

Anyone who is considering the latest Micra should consult the Nissan owners forum and car websites like Honest john.

Here is a recent example of a common clutch problem with the latest Micra that Nissan are denying is common! In many ways they are following the example of sister company Renault who never stand by their products.

honestjohn.co.uk/for…497

To summarise, neither Nissan nor the Micra vehicle deserve the positive reputation they worked so hard to build up as its clearly gone.

I don't think this car will be able to accommodate my large manhood, of course if you're, erm how should I put it, more femininely inclined, then the Micra might suit you. But for me, I think I'll stick to the large engines and 4x4', what real men drive.

Wouldn't you just put the family in the other seats inside the car? Buying a trailer seems excessive...

k11 excellent hahahahahaha

I can assure you. You will not need aircon in Blackburn.

I read these comments and realised I have never used the air con in my car. But I will now to clear up the windows when it is cold.

The k11 was an excellent car for what it was. I had a second hand one for 4 years and the one day it let me down was because the battery died. Apart from that it ran sweet every day. It was a basic car with nothing special, but reliable as hell. It would be a shame if they've lost that because reliability was all it really had going for it.

mine is far from reliable! last garage told me it would need to 'conk out' before they could tell me what's wrong with it!!

I thought that would take ages. In my car, not turning on the AC while attempting to demist the windows has even made it more foggy in the past. Surely blowing the humid air at the windows will make it worse?

Nope, I haven't lol. I admire 70's muscle cars, but perhaps they are far from practical/convenient (apart from the odd Sunday cruise), especially in this climate, from what you suggest! oO

Price looks good but I can't think of an uglier new car sold in UK right now.

Citroen c4 cactus is uglier than this but I guess that's my opinion.

It's a shame these cars aren't as good as the old 90s model I had one and loved it but sounds like these aren't so good :(.

£4 cheaper than BSM.

I owned a golf - it gave me problems within weeks
I owned a BMW - every other month a light would come on the dash saying there is a problem
I owned a k11 micra, 2 x k12 micra's and now a note - no problems whatsoever.

Nissan's may not be great drives or a fancy car but they are one thing and that is reliable and cheap to maintain. The qashqai is an award winning car.

Also a k12 did not come with a belt, it came with a chain. It's not as good as a k11 but as a mechanic once said to me, take care of your car and it will take care of you.
