Probably because everyone has got used to buying them from the Dell Outlet for around £150. The Dell Refurbs and 'Scratch and Dents" tend to be very high quality and genuinely 'good as new'. Unlike the sorry tales you see of refurbs from other sources such as Argos Clearance.

I paid £140 for my S&D which looked unused and unmarked. It did actually have a faulty key. Dell shipped a replacement keyboard within 48 hours.

BTW I didn't vote cold as I don't know if you can buy it new at a better price.

yeah probably, but I'm one of those people that wouldn't want a refurb

yep although they messed up my order and sent me a new one....paid 133 delivered, has same spec but windows xp and a 6 cell battery....awesome deal

i wouldnt normally but cant complain 133 delivered with a bigger battery - would be 300 on amazon for a new one...tho mine is new....not a single mark..sorted
