Cannot seem to find this netbook for less than about 270-280 else where.

Great deal if your wanting a little more bang-for-buck from a netbook. The CULV Celeron is miles more powerful than even the newest atom processors and it comes with 2GB RAM. HD Ready 1366x768 screen, HDMI port and a 6 cell battery meaning 5-6 hours use. Good hard disk space, just a shame its not Win 7.

Price includes £4.99 1-3 working day delivery.

Not a bad price for something that is faster than all netbooks (atom is slow!)

This model also has a multitouch trackpad, so you can pinch to zoom, use two fingers to scroll etc...

But a netbook is half this price Remember this has only 9 months warranty (refurb?)

BTW, you'll need the extra power to run awful Vista. If you can install W7, you might get a decent speed.

Half ? that's £120..

Lol - you might find some ebay deal at £120, but that's not the norm.

This is faster than ALL atom netbooks, regardless of their price

The 1366 x 768 is a nice upgrade over a normal netbook.

I am in no way saying this is the cheapest, but for the spec I think its a pretty good deal. I have an asus 1001HA and when I have used a CULV machine at my work the performance difference was noticeable. This also has a much better screen size than your average netbook which normally only clock in at 1024x600 so would be better for people looking for a middle ground between an under-powered standard atom netbook and a chunky laptop :).

It might be refurbished looking at the suspicious limited 9 month warranty, didn't spot that. Even then its still a pretty good deal IMO.

I think it's 3-cell. Shame.

Although it does state it's new, not a refurb'.

Take a look at argos on ebay, they have MSI Winds U230 which are more powerful then this (Even thou the spec is wrong on ebay)

The AMD processor on it will not be as powerful as the Celeron on this, but the onboard graphics are better then the dell. Powerwise - I would probably say the Dell trumps the MSI marginally and is £15 cheaper with delivery.

i've actually got one of these and it does a far, far better job at, well, everything than the atom based laptop i also have and that piece of crap ipad i got guilted into buying.

the screen in particular blows away most other options at this price.

This seems to be the same spec as:

hotukdeals.com/dea…700

except that it is delivered cost is 229.99 from playcom, and it should have the standard 1 year warranty.

COLD

Very cold indeed. Nice hardware, but the wrong OS, and the wrong battery. Once you fix that, it is way over 300 pounds and no longer competitive.
