Just saw the deal on here for this screen from Amazon - it's a fair bit cheaper from Dell direct at the moment (just recommended it to a mater this morning but didn't post it.)
Use the EXTRA5 code for the price, free delivery is included and as you're buying direct you can up the warranty to 5 years for about £30 if you like.

It's a great screen, and includes FreeSync 2 (G-Sync is possible apparently) HDR and 165Hz refresh rate.

This is really tempting, ordered a mag272qr but other then the 1ms vs 4ms response they seem very equal
Dont know what to do now

Im currently on a 8ms panel and multiplayer fps is impossible, so i think it does bother me. if 4ms is going to be as annoying ill wait for the msi

Yh it does but ms it hugely off putting
Would this be good for using a PS4 Pro, or should I try to get a 4K monitor over QHD?

I don't think the PS4 can display 2k as a resolution.
Thanks, been looking to change my monitor due to horrible VA black smearing. Was after an actual gaming monitor at 1440p this does the job nicely. Ordered, heat.

There are considerations beyond a manufacturer determined 1ms GTG response time, are you certain that's the issue with your panel?

Its a Dell p2419h, not sure it was ever intended for gaming, and in need of an upgrade anyway. This will become my second monitor. 8ms is dells claim but ive read its above 10ms most of the time.

Because he believes crap people say on the internet (multiplayer fps is impossible on 8ms monitors)

bazippy take THIS test and come back when you get under 8ms.
In USA dell cheapest than UK. But does dell promise match prices?

Well trying to figure the BS from the real is next to impossible, I know my monitor runs at best at 8ms, does it make a difference no idea really. Would i like a new bigger monitor YES, do i want the best i can afford YES, if this panel is better then the one i was looking at ill maybe buy it. Its really tempting.
The 8ms thing isnt impossible just an overstatement. Id love to try a few monitors side by side to really see, but thats not an option
Anyone know if this takes a vesa mount? My other dell ones do and the stand fitting looks similar but can't see anything specific about it.

Indeed, they can quote xx doesn't mean the panel is perfect. Mine has horrible smearing and trailing under curtain conditions due to the pixels struggling with transitions. It's irrelevant that on paper it is perfectly suitable for most things (AOC Q3279VWF) with 75hz, freesync, 3000:1 contrast and 5ms response time.

But as I said it is horrible for gaming, or any fast moving objects in general. Because of smearing, not because of the 5ms response itself. You can even tell with web browsers when you scroll. 5ms should be low enough technically, but the panel struggles and blurs.

Mine arrived yesterday (the free postage ended up being next-day!)

Too early to review, but impressed with it so far - easier to get on with than the 43" flat Acer it has replaced.
