Been going up and down but no comments? Dell are the only reliable machines in my experience - anyone care to advise what's wrong with this for the price? Would you rather buy a Compaq? Lol.

The 6400 is a discontinued model but is very good machine, quiet in operation with card reader and a hard media player keybord. Specs are a bit low for Vista but if your are looking for a reliable laptop with a limited budget and you are prepared to install XP or Linux instead, I would consider it. For a bit more money you can get better deals direct from Dell.

Perhaps we're all just sick of the constant Dell fanclub entries or maybe we don't think its sane to run Vista on 1GB of ram. Whichever way you look at it it's not the sort of post that's going to cause excitement.

Perhaps you've never bought a Dell or used Vista on 1GB of ram? Let me guess, you're about as tech savvy as a noodle?

I can't agree more.

Also this is not a good deal, look at the processor for a start.
