I have a 970 would the free sync one be any good
Free sync is only for AMD cards as far as I remember
This looks really good to me but not clued up really tbh. Running a 1060 6GB on a really old monitor, would this be a good replacement?
gsync is for Nvidia cards and freesync is for AMD. This monitor would be a good buy for your 970 if your in the market for a new monitor.

Depends what your currently looking for in a monitor, if your okay with 25inch monitor then this may be a good purchase. The downside of GSYNC is often the price but this is pretty cheap for what your getting. The 240hz is good as well but in real world terms you don't often see much different from 144hz.
+ 970 is not going to give you enough performance to get 240 frames (apart from some simple games and CC)

Yeah that is another thing with 240hz, there is only a select few cards that may be able to push those amount of frames and even then it depends heavily on the game your playing.

I thought they were running more expensive than this. Currently just using 24" HP 1080 60hz, from 2009 gotta be better than that

Getting a 1080 in a few days
Link is not working for me either. Could one of the mods please have a look into it?

Gsync is for Nvidia, eitherway there is a freesync option available according to OP.

remove G sync from the title , no need for it

I dont think you can expect much more at this price point, for gsync and 240hz refresh rate your normally looking at over 400pounds even at 1080p.
Would this G-sync version be better for same money, its a VA panel...?

Tbh at 240hz gsync is hardly useful, linustechtip did a video about it explaining at that refresh rate the difference of using gsync is not noticeable. Great monitor for price though

I wish Dell would create an IPS version of the S2716DG. Not touching the Acer/Asus ones since their quality control is terrible.

I know the feeling! For now I make do with this: www1.euro.dell.com/con…bsd

Prices seem sky high now but it was £240 new at one point.

I've also overclocked the monitor so it's now running at 80hz rather than 60hz.
LG expected to annouce a 1440p G-Sync monitor at CES. Hope it's OLED

What 1440p IPS/VA 240hz screens have you seen?

No but G-Sync is for Nvidia graphics cards so you can take advantage of that.

You don't need such a high refresh rate except for games like CS:GO which you will easily be able to get 240fps+ in with a 970.
Price seems to change to £350.01 in basket for me.

What about the viewsonic xg2703-gs I’ve been looking for a decent 1440p gsync monitor and other than a tn monitor been looking at the viewsonic one, it’s a bit pricey but think I’ll either wait or maybe go for a tn panel
confused how anyone has voted this hot, its not even on a sale just standard pricing.

I’m thinking of getting the 1440p Acer but I’ll get it through amazon in case =/ either that or wait for LGs new monitor since I’ve had no bad experiences with their ips monitors currently using the 29 inch ultrawide which I bought because I was originally gonna go with a vega 64 until their prices became insane for less than gtx 1080 performance so thought what the hell and got a 1080ti xD

The problem is the Acer/Asus/AOC and Viewsonic 1440p Gsync IPS monitors all use the same dodgy panel from AU Optronics, unless you get lucky you'll have to send X amount before you finally get one you're happy with.
Such crap service, the deal was meant to last the day, but around 10:30pm they changed the price mid-payment/checkout. I really don't feel like buying crap from dell when the RRP is £200 more than everyone else.

Also really bad at handling contact emails32926372-LnJ6X.jpg
Expired as mow risen to £350 and £500 respectively
out of curiosity: was it only on sale for 6 hours? ._.
