Defo cold
Great G-Sync monitor. I would recommend a RTX 2080 super or better to go with this monitor if you want to play at ultra detail with 120fps.

Pretty pointless comment. Can you explain why?

Overpriced

Am missing something? Overpriced compared to another retailer or just overpriced as a product itself?. I have been looking at these for the past two weeks and cant make my mind up. So any information would help.

Overpriced for the product. Loads of buzzwords on this but offers very little more than something half its size. Curved is another far.

I've been resisting the urge to engage, but this has intrigued me.

Personally I believe its a great monitor. I had the Samsung 34" Full HD Curved Monitor with Quantum Dot Technology. The Alienware (above) blew it away. Stronger, freedom to turn the screen, left/right & up/down, lights. Love the ultrawide, specially for gaming. Then you have the technical stuff which you probably know. At that price it is a good price, paying its RRP is over priced for sure. Got mine for around this price last year.
Good price.

It’s a pretty decent price. Monitors have hit a bit of a brick wall in terms of development and new technologies. I myself have had a PG279Q for the last 3/4 years and honestly I can’t see a reason to upgrade yet.

Given the spec and the reception this monitor has had, I’d say this is a very good price and you certainly won’t regret it.

If your looking at spending more - it might be worth waiting for the new Samsung Ultrawides, they look to be pretty special, but again...nothing revolutionary IMO and you’ll be spending a lot more I think.

I have a similar ultrawide monitor (HP Omen X 35") and it's so good I could never go back. This one is even better because its an IPS screen and has a higher refresh rate. Would deffo recommend.
I have the next one up of this (AW3420DW) and it's a fantastic monitor. There isn't much difference between the two. Just treat yourself, dell panel quality and service is great and it'll give you enjoyment for years. Or at least that's what I told myself at the checkout page

If you look at other monitors in its category, it's an amazing price. Curved makes it more immersive and easier on the eyes and neck. Buzzwords generally are meaningless, but all of the features here are legit. Which do you think are just buzzwords?

Curved
Wide-screen (every monitor is)
Gsync...come on.

It's also 120hz and lcd
I have this monitor and it's great, the frame around the front of the screen is a poor design choice though. I would only recommend for gaming, seems OTT for anything else and there are cheaper options for general desktop use. The Dell warranty is also spot on. 3 years NDB advanced replacement. My original (which I purchased from Currys) had a dead pixel on arrival, and rather than have to deal with them for replacement, I called Dell and they sent me a new monitor next day. It's 100Hz native but works at 120Hz (activated in the menu) no problems. HDMI port only works at 50Hz on PC @ full resolution, so you want to be using the display port for gaming use. You do need a good graphics card to run games as this resolution, it's closer to 4K than 1440p.

Someones just bitter they can't afford
I wonder if chat would allow you to stack the student discount code on top still? They did during the sale around a year ago when I got mine

Scrounging benefits is way better though
Just import a Xiaomi mi surface 144hz VA monitor for £400, it can easily overclock to 200hz and works both with gsync and freesync. Also no ghosting
Panel made by LG

You think g-sync is a buzz word? g-sync and freesync are two of the best developments in monitor tech over the years and produce clear benefits.

I’d be more concerned about the warranty than what brand it is.

Probably ² years as always
Decided to order one.

I bought the Asus PG348Q about a year ago but had to send it back because of back light bleed. I then felt guilty about spending so much and asked for a refund.

hopefully I’ll get a decent panel.
