Anything a bit cheaper?

It was £10 cheaper a week ago. Can't find the link to the post that was on here though.

Still a good price, IMO.

Had less ram then I think, so works out about the same.

you forgot to mention Windows 7 free upgrade available, which makes this offer even better!!!

It's crap. Slow CPU, slow graphics card, a relatively old 640GB (or perhaps a pair of 320GB tiddlers) harddisk, and 4GB of RAM of which only around 3GB will be accessible thanks to that old 32bit OS. Premium? Hardly. It would've been a mid-range PC when those parts (except the graphics card, natch) were new, back in 2007. If this was a laptop, we might be talking about a decent deal. But as a desktop, just, no. Cold.

I doubt this was ever meant to be a top range PC?
you may as well go for an Alienware if you want a top range...

For 359!! can you find a cheaper one with all these components? and I seriously wonder what you do with your computer? if you play the latest game at the highest resolution, then I doubt you should even enter this post.. but if you are using it to access HUKD and facebook plus watching DVD or Blue Ray... then I dont see why this computer cant do any of those efficiently!!

Oh.. and since you didnt even bother to click the link, if you did, you would then find out that changing to 64bit OS at NO EXTRA COSTS....

Sometimes I wonder whether people like you just look at the highest GHz and memory etc..

ohh.. and please do let me know... how to fill a 640GB hard drive? do you save a lot of movies? but then, why? do you watch all of them?

FYI, a standard DVD if I recall correctly is around 4.8GB?? so thats 133DVD you could save in your hard drive... but then, you may need some for OS, so lets take 100GB away.... that still leaves you 100 DVD....

please dont tell me you watch all 100DVD and never delete any of them?

oh just FYI.. it isnt too hard to upgrade your Hard Drive either... and!!!! it is pointless to compare hard drive... cos next year you will have 5TB hard drive... but WHYYYYY??? majority of people struggle to fill 250GB

oh, and please when you found a cheaper one... then tell me if that one provides 1year collect and return warranty...

and whether that one will allow me to upgrade to windwos 7 in October!!! paying just the postage of the DVD please?
because as far as i know, windows 7 home is around 49 quid currently if pre-order....
so, why is this a bad deal? just because it is not the top range?

are you also saying that all cars are **** except ferrari or lamborghini????????? just cos they are slower than 1980 ferrari????

geez.. people like you are so stupid....

No it had 4Gb. And I'm using all of it right now as I went for the 64 bit OS at no extra cost. :-D

And as the OP said, where can you find similar for less or even close to that price? Most PC users don't need super-fast processors or graphics cards, so why would they want to spend more?
And there's a really nice and accessible slot for an extra HDD if you want to add more, but 640Gb is more than enough.

Okay, better deals. Here's a Core2Duo laptop for less money - ebuyer.com/pro…171

And here's a Core2Quad Q8200 dsktop for less money - ebuyer.com/pro…289

By the way Amy, you are an incredibly presumptuous person.

I wouldn't be rushing to buy it, but your post is just over the top, it is perfectly fine for a lot of users, and while it might not be the best possible bangs for bucks available for every circumstance, you lose the argument by inaccuracy and over statement :-(

yeap,

then add a dedicated graphics card, cos i think

Graphics

* Integrated 2D/3D graphics

that one based on your assumption should not even be in consideration? - so lets say thats £35?

then find me the extra 140GB HD please- lets say thats err £20?

then 1yr Return to Base warranty... please tell me does it cost me to SEND to the them? cos it doesnt say COLLECT!! - lets say you are unfortunate enough to send it once.. thats - £20?

then please, give me a free Windows 7 upgrade in Oct - to buy new PRE ORDER, thats £49.99?

so for me, thats
extra £125? well, with that money, i can upgrade the dell with Phenom X4 too :-)

I really don't understand you. Both fail the criteria you used by a far greater degree than this model.

damn it, and I missed out that your one dont have 19in 1 card reader!! omg such a big loss????!!!!!

throw in another £10!!!

May I also remind you the difference between

Your one

Memory

* 4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
* Expandable to 4GB Max
* 2 x DIMM slot

& Dell
4096MB Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz [4x1024] Memory

Cos, 2 DIMM and 4 DIMM err.. i know which one I would go for, and just FYI, Dell can go up to 8GB..
but im not a graphic designer,, 4GB would do the job nicely for 359.... oh and by the way... you may want to consider 8GB since you onbviously love the big numbers

you cant argue with a person who looks at the GHz and QUAD, CORE 2 DUO and RAM....

and failed to see the big picture
