please explain

Warranty: 1 Year RTB = FAIL .

No hdmi and not 1080 :-( other than that DELL IPS monitors are pretty good. I've been using Dell equipment for 12 years + and no issues.

Shame its 1680 x 1050, most modern 22" monitors are all 1920 x 1080 these days.

you have to remember those you talk about are usually TN. IPS rarely go below £200. This model has been hanging around £225 to £250 for sometime.

I think the way that Dell turned their back on customers that bought a previous 26" model (W2600) that had an inherant fault (Which was proven yet they would't refund or repair FOC), has turned me off buying their products for good.

See ]HERE for starters

These are on a different level to TN panels.

Does SOGA not cover Dell purchases ? I know they can send things from Ireland so I'm unsure on the legal issues.
If SOGA covers your purchase, you have a "reasonable" amount of time to return an item with an inherent fault for a refund, AFAIK.

That's a pretty big catch, I guess most places are offering the same 3 year next business day service as ]Dell do? It might be worth contacting Dell/EuroPC and confirming this is actually the case and not a mistake.

Lovely montiors for a great price (i got them for this last March though)

I have a dual setup and love them, they are clear, plenty of support and praise for them out on the interwebs and I actually hate using my TN work monitors in comparison....

Great for photo editing, graphics work and gaming....

I honestly see no problem with the 1680x1050 res, as everything looks lovely and sharp anyway, the colour is great (especially if you calibrate). and for gaming its a great resolution that with my i7 rig and GTX 260 guarantees a faultless gamign experience so Im happy.

I showed everyone the HD Transformers 2 trailer on on of these and they were blown away....

HDMI would have been nice simply so that I could have took the xbox upstairs when the tv was in use but with plenty of great games on pc, Its not such a drag now!

I got them when they were new, so after nearly a years refinement these should be awesome...

The best deal I can come across for this is here…331 at £199 + VAT with the pixel perfect warranty for 3 years. Is this the best deal out there please ?
