Anyone have any voucher codes for this too? I see one just expired

Excellent deal, ordered. Good to see the cheaper Q6600 prices finally going through to the channel

Surely this deal blows all the other ones away today. Had my eye on this for ages and the Quad Core processor has just tipped the balance.

amazing price!!! voted hot!!

Not a great deal compared to the Vostro systems. Same spec but £100 price difference due to Quad core.

The Vostro's are mini tower, this is full sized so more room for whatever you want to fit, big graphics solutions, extra drives etc.

I've upgraded the specs on this and come out at a nice spec for £605 (22", 500mb hd) as I want a decent priced gaming machine for a bit of counterstrike etc...

Just wondering how the radeon x1300 pro would handle in gaming? I don't really fancy shelling out another £111 for the Geforce 8600GTS...

Also, what's the difference between the two processors? I have no idea what Viiv means?

Any help appreciated looking to buy before it disappears

thanks

Excellent deal.
The x1300 is not up to gaming i am afraid. You are best to purchase the graphics card later.

Glad you went for that one, it was a better bang for buck than the first one spec'd up

"Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Q6600 Processor (2.4GHz,1066MHz,8MB cache)
Genuine Windows Vista Business - English
256MB nVidia GeForce 8600GTS graphics card OR 256MB nVidia GeForce 8600GT"

Could anyone tell me would this shape up performance wise against a :-

Dell 9100 P4,640 (3,2Ghz) HT 2MB EM64T
256MB nVidia Ge Force 6800
with Windows XP

Very tempted by this deal, but i'm pretty ignorant about processors etc
It's been a while since I've bought a pc and been using the bottom pc spec which i got second hand a few years ago.

It will appear to fly compared to your old one, just because its a nice new clean install. But it will in any case be a lot quicker crunching data like video conversion and games would be a lot nicer with you able to play the laterst with a fair degree of eye candy. Just plain wordpro or surfing wont show anything I doubt.

this still goin?
