How often can you justify upgrading your P.C to the wife?

I've never really tracked how fast things improve in PC land until frequenting this site, i thought my 5150 with the 3.5 P4 would last me a few years but I'm not so sure now, roll on quad core. :roll:

I thought I was going to simply wait for a Core 2 Duo system (Such as this one) and be away

But now I find Intel are to release superior processors to the Core 2 Duo in a manner of weeks
