Don't know if its just my computer at work (proxy makes some sites act strange) but this is now showing only a 17" monitor and the only upgrade you can have is to the 24" monitor.

Original Poster

Still shows as a Dell™ 19" Silver Wide Flat Panel (E198WFP) for me,must be your work proxy?

How do u know which version of the CPU this is?
From looking at Mikes blog there are different versions with different cache.
Im guessing the cheaper.
For £43 you can get a 5000+

The offer is still there but the code has changed....

The offer is still there as 305-D06C12. I've just cottoned on to what you guys probably knew already... that the part of the code after the D reflects the month, so D06XXX = June, D05XXX = May.

Why would anyone buy one of these AMDs over a C2D??? Besides the C series Dells are too narrow to fit a full height graphics card, which pretty much limits your choice when it comes to upgrading.

I thought it was fine. My mate wants a PC that is slimmer for his new place, and he wont play games so wont need to upgrade the graphics, he will just buy a new PC when it gets old (like most).
He likes the widescreen idea (even at a slight reduced surface area).
And you can upgrade to a 5000+ AMD which is rather wizzy for around £338
