Looks a nice Athlon media center system Ray:thumbsup:

Would this be a reasonable gaming machine for daughters 'Sims'.

Thanks

Or is it worth the upgrade for £23.00 for the 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro graphics card ?

Check the spec on the back of the sims game bluenose, but I have a feeling the PC will be fine as it is.

Welcome to the forums

As emma says the graphics with this PC will be fine I think for the sims, but you may like to consider the £23.50 upgrade as I believe the one with this pc may use system memory whereas the upgrade one certainly has its own memory and will react better to any later faster moving games that you may want to play. Both options are really enty level and you may want at a later date to consider fitting a much more expensive card if you want to play the very latest fast action type of game.

Yes I agree Mike..my daughter plays Sims2 with a very basic Gforce 5200 card but as you advise a more expensive upgrade will be necessary for the latest action games...the new Gforce 7900 GS is getting good right ups and can be bought for about £115
