    What will MW2 be redeemable on? Also how well could this laptop likely run it?

    Voted hot anyway, im after a gaming laptop. I was after a 3070 laptop but might bite on this.

    I’m not sure what it will be redeemable on. I would assume that it will be on Origin but I’m hoping it will be a steam key. This laptop will definitely have no issues running MW2 although you may want to throw in another 8GB stick of RAM, and remember the 3050 also supports DLSS. (edited)

    I've got a slightly older one of these with a GTX card. It's very plastic-ky (in that it's entirely plastic). I always get Dell laptops, more by habit than any good reason, and the plastic seems odd at first when compared with old Latitudes or Precisions (tanks). But it is well built, no gaps or creaks, lid doesn't bend, it looks fairly nice, the screen is pretty marvellous and has thin-ish borders, and the trackpad is not as rubbish as usual. Upgrading ram or storage is easy. It has two dimm slots and, more unusually(I think?), it also has two nvme slots.
    Battery life is good (mine's an i5-10200H), and it doesn't get too warm doing normal things like posting on hukd.

    Most importantly of all it has a calculator button above the number pad. Hey we all have some weird things we like.

    Similar price to the Ryzen 5 5600H version from the other day which I think probably has the edge in general performance and power? Both are good laptops though - the AMD version is in the white and blue speckles version not this drab business grey so that's another choice to make.

    Yea I saw that, although if I remember it had a 256GB SSD instead of 512GB and didn’t come with A free copy of MW2. The 5600h is basically neck and neck with the 11260h. With the downside that it also doesn’t support PCIE 4.0. So unless you really can’t see past the colour of the laptop, you get less for your money.

    Agreed, but if you include the value of the free game which is around £40 this brings the price down to around £450. Even if you have to spend another £30 on an 8GB stick of RAM it’s still a good price for the specs. (edited)

    It has 2 M.2 slots iirc and you can pick up a cheap 500gb drive for less than £50 if you don’t go for a bonkers ps5 compatible one, you don’t need 7gb/s speeds and can handily double the storage on this (or more obviously but more cost)

    I received this Laptop and it’s exceeded my expectations for the money. I have upgraded the RAM for £50 to a 16GB crucial 3200Mhz kit and the difference is night and day. Hitting Some good FPS in my games and couldn’t be happier. Doom at max settings.     i wonder how many they had to sell. good offer when you think about it. Do these Dell RTX 3050`s by pass the Intel GPU when out putting by the HDMI and do the they have the usb c displayport alt mode and if so will that option by pass the intel GPU.

    I can’t be 100% but I will be on Tuesday when I receive the laptop myself. I was reading in forums that there was a mode enabled in a Bios update that allows it but it’s called something different but basically acts the same as a MUX. I will be able to confirm for myself though on Tuesday if this is the case.

    Id rather have a steam deck. I've played more games since buying one and have ordered another for the wife. That's despite Having an rtx 3070 gaming pc! In the living room. Titanfall 2 runs at 60fps on high settings at 720p awesome albeit the battery lasts for an hour or two, but fine for me. Civ 6 lasts three to four hours. Other games longer still. Reasonable frame rates, perfect for the sofa or the bed or in a tent as a mini console!

    Was thinking of this for my daughter but she’s determined she doesn’t want a laptop.

    She wants a pc she can play Minecraft and Roblox on. What kinda specs would I need for that? I know having a decent processor, a good amount of ram and an ssd is important for office use etc but I’ve no idea when it comes to playing games.

    my daughter is playing Roblox on my Intel 11600k iGPU at the moment because my GPU has died and it plays absolutely fine, and that’s at a resolution of 3440 x 1440. So I wouldn’t worry about specs if all she plays Roblox and Minecraft at something like 1080p. (edited)

    Sooo disgusting these laptops. I don’t know if it’s the state of windows laptops generally but I bought a much higher specced one (over a grand) to try and avoid spending 3 times as much on an Apple… the very next day I sent it back and went for a full spec MacBook Pro. Not saying other laptops may not have been up to the task but I knew MacBook Pro’s and after one day of putting up with this it converted me straight back. They even offered me £100 not to return it.
